St. Pete Beach, Florida: White Sands and Beach Bars near St. Petersburg

Consistently ranked among the top beaches in the United States, St. Pete Beach sits just south of St. Petersburg on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The town’s historic district, Pass-a-Grille, is lined with specialty shops and bars with lively decks, and a white-sand beach points into the bay like a ship’s bow. The district is also home to the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum, where volunteer docents share interesting facts about the secret histories of the beachfront’s iconic houses and hotels.

Fort De Soto Park, about 10 miles from St. Pete Beach, is a good place to experience Florida’s natural beauty. The park features piers and shallows for fishing, a canoe trail, and the Paw Playground, where dogs can play unleashed. More outdoor recreation awaits at Merry Pier, where pelicans congregate in the gentle waters and fishermen angle for their next catches. For a dose of civilization, walk among the shops and restaurants of revitalized downtown St. Petersburg, or step into The Dalí Museum, which showcases 96 oil paintings, drawings, and photographs by famed surrealist Salvador Dalí.

The room was very nice, clean and well laid out. The view of the beach from my door was incredible. The staff very helpful, courteous and kind. They had very good suggestions for restaurants that wouldn't break my bank. The trolley stopped in the front of the Sirata so waiting in warm weather was brief and confortable. Several restaurants; seafood, bistros and grocery stores were within a mile. The 4th of July fireworks were great. There were 7 places we viewed from the beach that were spectacular. This was a relaxing, wonderfully eventful vacation for myself and my daughter.

Bad Room was very dirty and bathroom terrible, we also got TRIPLE CHARGED FOR THE ROOM! we were very respected guest family vacation charged us 500$ for one night! Be carful with this place we were quoted 130$ and charged 500$. The rooms were very bad with moldy ceiling and rotted floor that was super wavy and unlevel. The walls stunk with sweat and mold. Ac didn’t work properly. Staff has not done any refund or bill fixing yet and still refuse to even call back. I’ve spoken with 2 people there and have never gotten a return call like they said. I would not stay here due to the workers scamming customers. Rooms are terrible. The location is lovely! Many other hotels to choose from stay away from this crap hotel..!!!
