Poor customer service, poor hotel conditions, and fraudulent transactions I had a group code that included the room block for 4 days, free parking and free breakfast. Upon checking out on yesterday morning I found out that the hotel charged me breakfast and lunch for the entire stay. I should not have accrued any fees for breakfast as we had breakfast tickets that we used each day, and the hostess wrote our room numbers on the tickets. Additionally, we were not in the hotel to eat lunch, so I am unsure how I accrued a grab and go lunch fee. This morning while in DC, I received an email from my bank informing me how I had a transaction from the hotel for the amount of $16.24 @ 11:28am. I am home in Washington, DC, I checked out and billed closed upon check out on July 13th yesterday morning. Why is there a charge on my card from this morning. THAT IS FRAUD! There was nothing wrong with my room upon check out, so there should be no incidental charges either. Check-in July 9th, Room 806 (bathroom ceiling in on the toilet and a hole in the bathroom ceiling) return to front desk to inform them, front desk staff states they were unaware and changed room to 816. Room 816- (No working telephone, had to call front desk from my cellphone, or go down 8 floors to front desk to get assistance. Bathroom door kept getting stuck when opening and closing. Hot water faucet broken and not properly working, stains on the sheets, stains under the sitting chair cushion on the bottom side, appeared as if housekeeping just turned the pillow over in hopes of no one checking or seeing, trash on the floor, no microwave in room, no microwave on 8th floor , no ice vending as room is under construction, despite telling front desk staff this, they assured it was a microwave and ice maker on 8th floor, completed incorrect. ) Upon packing to leave I found what was either mold stains or feces stains on the bottom linens of the bed. The hotel is apparently going through some kind of changes; it was not communicated to patrons. I watched and heard multiple customers complain about the conditions of their rooms to the staff and nothing seemed important enough to the staff that it was reported to the proper channels. This hotel charges too much money for it not to provide better accommodation's, customer service, or care. Oh, let me also add how there is complete dusk inside the compartment where the fridge is, where the ice bucket is located. There are true signs that, that area never gets cleaned or dusted. Would not recommend this hotel!

Unacceptable Bug Infestation I stayed at the Sonesta South End while in town from Alaska for the NAACP National Conference and was extremely disappointed. My first room had bed bugs, and the second room I was moved to had bed bugs, roaches, spiders, and other bugs. It was unsanitary and stressful, especially being so far from home. Thankfully, I received a refund, but that doesn’t erase how uncomfortable and unsafe this experience was. I would not stay here again, and I hope the hotel takes real steps to address this issue.

Customer service need to be better Our first night they gave us a dirty room. Food on the floor in closet. Leak in bathroom over toilet. They were nice to move us to another room. Ok I understand the ice machine on floor wasn't working because there was a sign. Our last night the air conditioner went out. Have the error sign H3. Security came to see if she can adjust thermostat but it didn't work for either. First thing she said it is hot in here. We talk with someone at the desk at 12 am said they will send a fan up to our room because there was no available rooms to place us. OK 2 hours went by mind you still hot. So I went downstairs as soon as I open the door the damn hallway was cool as our room. You know that made me madder because I have to go get the fan. Customer service is a @#$$-. Since I got the fan the boys finally went to sleep. I'm writing this review and talking 2 Tylenol so I can go to sleep for my flight back to Maryland. I wouldn't write this review if the fan was brought to our room showing that they was concern about the situation of our health in a hot room.
