From the first moment, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped us get a room quickly, and as soon as Staying at the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island was like stepping into an oasis of calm and comfort. The room: spacious, modern, with a super-comfortable bed, thoughtful touches... even complimentary chocolates every night! And the service... top-notch. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. After a rough start elsewhere, this resort turned everything around. A place that truly cares about your rest. I would return without hesitation.

The pool area and “Sweet Cane” Bar was a nice place to chill! Relaxed all afternoon at the pool and enjoyed mixed drinks, wine and snacks from Sweet Cane pool bar. Our server Jason was excellent. Seemed to have uncanny sense of when drinks needed refilling. He was super patient with us and very nice. Had a wonderful afternoon chillin’ with friends.

Not a great experience. Stayed here for a couple days while attending the Heritage golf tournament. We were never told prior to arriving of the construction which starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. The renovated lobby area is very sterile looking and not very inviting. The service in the lunch restaurant was ridiculously slow. Some of the staff were wonderful and some acted like they could care less. The woman at the front desk with the long brown hair needs an attitude adjustment. When I checked out, she barely made eye contact and never asked me how our stay was. I also overheard her several times making not very nice comments to the other staff about people she just spoke on the phone with. It took 3 phone calls to guest services to get additional hangers brought to our room as there were only 3 in the closet when we arrived. There were dirty glasses on the floor in the hallway by our room that sat there the entire duration of our stay. As for the positives: the food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was delicious. You should seriously give the chef(s) a raise to keep them. The lobby bartenders were great as well as the servers at the Seacrest restaurant (both for breakfast and dinner). The gentleman at the Concierge desk was also very nice as were the bellmen. Beach access was also great.
