Nautical suite Beautiful establishment. Our Nautica suite was beautiful. Very clean and comfort with an amazing view of the ocean. The bathroom and tub surround toke could use a deep clean on the grout and the back of the bathroom door showed a little water damage from showers I'm sure. Everything was functional. Windows were clean making for a great view. Bed was very firm.

Lincoln City, Oregon: Artsy Community on Rugged Pacific Coast

For years, colorful blown-glass floats used to wash up on Lincoln City’s shores after having been used on the other side of the Pacific by Japanese fishermen. Most of the glass balls you’ll see along the 7 miles of beachfront today were left by local artists—if you find one, you can keep it. It’ll be a nice souvenir of Lincoln City’s flourishing arts scene, reflected in the numerous galleries, antique shops, and ceramics studios peppering the town’s streets. After browsing, grab a bite at one of the town’s many fresh seafood restaurants.

Back on the beach, you’ll see lots of local wildlife, including harbor seals and sanderlings. Gray whales migrate through the area from mid-November through mid-May. A few miles north stands Cascade Head, a towering headland that juts into the ocean. Hiking trails crisscross the rugged cliffs; while you’re on the paths, keep an ear out for sea lions.

Pros and cons at the beach. There are many positives about this place, also some negatives. Beach access is via a long staircase in the adjacent establishment, also owned by them. There is an easier access via a public access point half a mile away. There is essentially one restaurant within walking distance, otherwise it is not a particularly walkable area. The view of the beach is great, with the hot tub positioned for prime viewing position. There were things that we missed; no coffee or cookies in the lobby. Also, there were little details lacking, like the coffee machine not working, and the in-shower bottles of soap and shampoo empty. One problem with the layout is the the sink is in a recessed area, so is somewhat restricted in space and makes two people preparing simultaneously a real challenge. The cleaning staff only come on demand during your stay. Positives include the very nice people at the front desk, and the great views and the hot tub.

Good but not great beach experience The room was clean and everything worked, but the bathroom was limited with the sink in the main room. The shower also had a very low lip so water would always drip out into bathroom floor and had to be wiped up. Front desk staff were not the most friendly especially considering the cost of staying there and first impressions. The location is excellent and just ask about beach access. Patio in the room was nice and well protected from the wind. House keeping staff were fabulous and super friendly! Great sunsets! Overall I expected more considering the cost.

great staff and location VERY DIRTY The staff is unbeatable with how kind and professional they are, you couldn't ask for better! The location and parking were easy and convenient with great views and access to the beach. On the other hand..... the halls are too narrow for the luggage trolly to get around so you will get stuck in the hall and have no way to even pass so other clients have to walk back into their rooms or find an awkward corner to squeeze into if you need to pass and that is if the trolly doesn't get all together just wedged between the walls. The room was one of the dirtiest things I have ever seen at a hotel. I understand they have the cleaning staff come in the morning ( I saw them cleaning the next room as I was leaving in am) I know sunrise makes it hard to see some things like hand prints on the windows but when checking in at night, all you see are gross smeared handprints all over every surface especially by the hot tub and sliding door. The windows by the tub looked like some crazy sex scene had taken place with an actual outline left of someone's butt in one spot and hand smears. The bed was gross, and unclean and had inches of old dust accumulated all around the bedframe and the counters and tabletops had greasy fingerprints smeared all over with the one next to the bed looking like some type of sex lube was spilled and left. The hot tub was old and had cracks all over the inside that had been stained black from years of dirt and use and the jets looked nasty, so I didn't feel it was clean enough of safe enough to use with the unclean state of the rest of the room. The room had no thermostat control, so it was ungodly hot the whole night even with the sliding door left open which then had the smoke from the beach fires coming in to choke on. The bathroom was rather gross, and I felt I needed to wear a bathing suit and sandals while trying to rinse off the sweat from the overheated room during the night and I didn't want any chance of the old grandma style plastic curtain to touch my body along with the floor of the tub looking like it hadn't been cleaned. I ended up buying a container of baby wipes and disinfectant spray while getting dinner after checking in, I had to wipe the entire room down and all the handles and light switches along with bringing in my sleeping bag to sleep in on top of their bedding along with my travel pillow since I was afraid to have theirs touch my skin.

WORSE BIRTHDAY AT THE BEACH EVER This was a horrible experience from the moment we walked in the door. I booked a two-bedroom suite with jetted tub, hot tub and FULL KITCHEN for my birthday. The first thing the rude front desk lady told me was they tried to call me an hour and half ago to tell me they did not have my suite as they are undergoing renovations. SInce it was a 5 hour drive from my house I never received the message prior to arrival. So this rude lady is MAD at me because I am mad. They do not have a room for me and tell me they have booked a room at the motel next door. So I have a room but no kitchen to cook my prime rib birthday dinner or to have breakfast on the balcony with mimosas the following morning. My food would not fit in the mini fridge the room came with. So I ask her how much is the other room and she does not know. SO I am supposed to check in without even knowing the cost of down-graded room. PLUS they billed my credit card the full amount of the suite that I did not get and I have to wait for refund for being overcharged for a room I DID NOT GET. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
