Q:

Why does it say "good for kids" when only 2 people are allowed to stay? Doesn't make sense.

Kendra D.  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

I am sorry about this. You are right. We actually are a VERY kid friendly hotel. We just happen to be promoting our Studio Suite, which was designed for one person or a couple. We should have removed the "good for kids" comment off of this Groupon ad.

Q:

I am a family of three. If the max is two per room, what other options are available?

Sheketa Y.  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

Room upgrades may upgrade to a king room, which sleeps four, for an additional $30 (before 3/8/13) or $50 (after 3/8/13.

Amy S.  from  Self  replied on  Jan 29, 2013

Q:

The the $30/50 premium for the upgrade to king on a per night basis? We want to stay 3=4 nights in May. Would it be $50 extra or $150 extra?

Zachary J.  asked on  Feb 2, 2013

A:

The upgrade is per night.

Q:

My 11 yr old usually stays in the bed with us when traveling & we usually have a queen bed, as we do at home. Why can't he stay in this room with us??? It's not like we are asking for sofa, crib or rollout.

Julie F.  asked on  Feb 2, 2013

A:

You actually can have your child stay with you if you are OK with one queen bed.

More Questions and Answers

Q:

Hi-I'd like to get clarification on something that's been asked, but I think I'm seeing 2 different answers at various times. I have seen people asking if they will or will not have to pay an extra charge for including 1 child, under 12 years old, that will not require any extra bedding/accommodation from the hotel (making the total 3 people). I see that the Groupon reps seem to be answering that the extra $30 or $50/night charge would be upheld. Then, I see Nathan, the rep from the hotel (side note-you seem very eager to help and answer questions, Nathan-I see you going above and beyond multiple times, by not just giving the simplest answer, but the one that would benefit the guest the most-excellent c/s!)....anyhow, Nathan from the hotel seems to be answering, mostly, that one extra child under the age of 12 can stay in the queen room at no charge as long as you don't require extra bedding/roll-always and such. Which is correct? Again, only asking about 2 adults, one child under 12. Thanks!

Ana S.  asked on  Feb 9, 2013

A:

Hey Ana, I am so sorry...I thought I had responded to your question earlier...but I can't see my response. As long as your child is OK on a sofa(my son loves it)there is no extra charge.

Q:

I must apologize, My initial question mentioned a March date when, in fact, my wife and I would like to confirm for February 22, 23 and 24. Would these dates be available? Sorry for the confusion.

James W.  asked on  Feb 9, 2013

A:

No worries, James. We should have some availability for your February dates. If not, let me know, and we will open a couple up for you.

Q:

I know it says you can upgrade to a king room, but it does not give you the option when you go to purchase. What is the best way to go about this to ensure it is available? I'm nervous to purchase if it won't be available and then I have to make sure another queen suite can be booked for the same nights for my party of 4.

Susan L.  asked on  Feb 9, 2013

A:

Hey Susan, call me at the hotel with your dates. If we have the availability to upgrade you to a King Suite, I will confirm that to you personally. Then you can make your reservation via Groupon and you can pay the upgrade fee when you arrive.

Unfortunately, we are out of inventory for one of your requested dates.

Q:

I'm wondering if you could open up some more inventory for the 23rd. We would like to stay the 22nd, and 23rd, but it's currently only allowing booking on the 22nd. Thank you!

Pete O.  asked on  Feb 7, 2013

A:

If you are needing these dates in February, we are opening some more inventory...if you need these dates in March, we are currently out of inventory.

Q:

Is taxi service available to the River Walk and Alamo? If so, what price should we expect to pay?

James W.  asked on  Feb 7, 2013

A:

Taxi service is available to the riverwalk. I think it is about $25...however, San Antonio has one of the country's finest Public Transit Systems, VIA Metropolitan Transit...you can purchase an all day bus pass for $4.00 that is good for one day for all regular, express, and street car service!
