Beware of planning events at Sunseeker Beware of doing any business or events at Sunseeker Resorts They over promised and undelivered during my wellness retreat, and are in complete breach of contract. They gave me a “quote” in the beginning, of $1000, then upped the amount to almost $4000, tried doubling the total like a moving target days before my event to almost $7800. It was a total bait and switch- for 50 people. I was initially sent links to pay towards agreed upon amounts with an itemized invoices. Totalling $2000 From there, they saved my credit card information and made an unauthorized charge of $1758 - without my authorization, without providing an invoice (after claiming we would receive a 50% refund) and the non-itemized invoice sent 4 days later was a different amount than what was agreed upon, none of the pricing matched the banquet menus pricing, and they then tried sending me credit card authorization forms, after fraudulently charging my credit card! They could not even handle providing enough food for my 38 guests, took away my contracted upstairs space, took away the promised 8th floor pool deck, there are 12 more paragraphs more of instances and details, but I will spare you the details- unless you want to hear more. They are criminals Tracy Snyder was the worst, but her manager Heidi Thixton was NO better and refused to respond to my written complaint outlining the details of the breech of contract. They are claiming I benefited from their lack of competency and their breech of contract They are claiming they are entitled to $3758 for a few hours on the outdoor green space, breakfast for 37 people, and not even enough lunch for 18 of my 38 guests- some of what they brought out was only one table spoon of quinoa and a small culinary shot glass with some green sauce in it- total embarrassment. They even took our water away they charged us $75 for 2.5 hours before our event ended! They did outline part of this charge was to TIP themselves!!!!!

Beautiful but deceiving website The resort is impressive and beautiful. But, the website is deceptive. Three of the restaurants that are promoted are closed. The menus on the remaining restaurants are very limited. Half-cracked seafood restaurant has a full menu. We found it difficult to find fresh fruit or vegetables. We had a corner balcony room. The shades do not cover the window enough preventing the room from being dark at night. The bathroom floor was not very clean when we arrived and the body wash container was empty.

Potential Is There... Sunseeker Resort has the potential to be amazing but it over promises and under delivers. We took a last minute weekend trip to this resort without huge expectations other than the desire for nice room and a great pool experience. We booked a SunSuite which was a one bedroom/one bath condo type room with full kitchen, living room, and a large balcony. The room was gorgeous, and the views were stunning! The kitchen was high end with Wolfe & Subzero Appliances. The balcony had two lounge chairs and a table/chair set with plenty of room to spare. The gorgeous accommodations were the primary highlight of the trip. The resort property is on a long somewhat narrow harbor front piece of land. We were not familiar with the area and the resort seemed a bit remote. We went off property to check out the surrounding area and to have a meal one night (we were not impressed with the food offerings at the resort). Our suite was in a building farthest away from the pools and main lobby --- plan to walk a bit if you stay in a Sunsuite. The main resort pool is large with a lot of lounge chairs and a few cabanas for rent. There is also a smaller infinity edge pool and a hot tub. We spent our time at the pool later in the day both days and we had no trouble finding a lounge chair and the pool was not crowded. It is a lovely resort pool! There is also a rooftop adult only pool area with a bar. We had a drink there the first night and it was not too crowded. We went the next day during the day and the pool was crowded - all of the lounge chairs were reserved(there is a fee for this) and it was difficult to find an open chair - check in suggested that we place our belongings on the ground around the pool. Fortunately, we found a chair and spent about 45 minutes in the pool - it was somewhat crowded. The negatives about the experience: - There is a resort fee AND they charge for parking. This is high for the location. One or the other would be more appropriate. Valet should definitely be included for the suites. -The signage at the pool and the online site states that the pool is open for one hour after sunset. At 8pm (10 minutes before sunset) the pool attendants went around barking at everyone to get out of the pool it was closing. This did not go over well with guests - especially those who wanted to take in the sunset. This was followed up by someone in management (a man with dark hair & glasses dressed all in white) coming around asking people to get out of the pool in a rather abrupt manner. We witnessed this same person being rude at the roof top pool bar. This resort has the potential to be great with some tweaks to the service and experience.
