Stay with Rooftop Dining at Tempo by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu in Kentucky

Mom and dad get away! We stayed here for a weekend away from 6 kids! The concierge of the hotel was wonderful and so interactive! We went to the rooftop and Thomas was the best bartender I’ve ever met! 10 out of 10

Rehearsal Dinner perfection! As a full-service wedding planner, I’m often asked to recommend locations for my clients’ rehearsal dinners. I just had my first rehearsal dinner with the High Stakes grill at Tempo hotel, and it was incredible! From the very beginning, Christine made everything so easy. She arranged for my clients to tour and followed up a menu tasting that was perfect. The rehearsal dinner took place on July 11th, and I truly can’t say enough about how perfect everything was. The space was fully prepared when we arrived, the staff were welcoming and kind, and the food was absolutely amazing. The entire staff’s attention to detail, the impeccable service, and the outstanding menu made Tempo the perfect choice. The mother of the groom was thrilled, and our out-of-town guests were wowed by the views of the city from the private rooftop space — a beautiful way to showcase Louisville. Impressive Rehearsal Dinner Sets Mood for a Beautiful Wedding Weekend in Louisville, KY I am so proud of our rehearsal dinner held at High Stakes at the Tempo Hotel in NuLu on July 11, 2025. The food was delicious. Everyone bragged on his or her meal and had a personal favorite item! I made a point to return to two of the best servers I’ve experienced in quite some time to express my gratitude for their service. Shawn and Danielle are excellent! Their professionalism and eye-for-detail made our experience top-notch. Thank you, Christine, Shawn and Danielle, for kicking off the most beautiful wedding with an exceptional dinner rehearsal.

Great new hotel in Louisville I came with a group of high school kids as a program coordinator and chaperone students thanked me for picking such a nice hotel , it was clean safe and the staff were great and friendly

2 Days at Tempo by Hilton Louisville, KY in June 2025 I really wanted to like this hotel and the room itself was quite nice and well-designed. The place is new so it's very clean and their designer did a nice job particularly with the bathroom. Bathroom has a glass shower and the faucet controls on the wall as you enter the shower as opposed to under the shower head. Great design. There were some real problems with the hotel however. There seems to only be an ice machine on the 2nd floor and it wasn't working during our stay there. Also, they don't provide bottled water but they do have filtered water dispensers on each floor. The filtered water dispenser on our floor wasn't working during our stay either. I did inform the front desk of this issue on the first day, they said they would send someone to fix it but it didn't get fixed. Perhaps they needed parts or something? Also, my experience with the front desk was not very good. I like to tip housekeeping when they clean our room. I needed change for a $20 and I asked the front desk if they could provide me with change for a $20 so that I could tip housekeeping and the response was "we don't make small change but if you need to break a $100 bill we will change that into $20's. Otherwise, there are banks close by you can try there". What the heck? You would think they would want their guests to tip housekeeping and I've never stayed at a hotel that won't provide $5's and singles so you can do so. I don't know anyone who tips housekeeping $20/day for their room so this policy of only breaking big bills down to $20's is really strange and not helpful. There was also a billing problem with my bill that I noticed prior to checkout. I explained it to the front desk staff and rather than just fixing it she wanted to debate it and lecture me on how their billing system works. I explained to her that I didn't want to argue but that it was clearly their mistake and rather then argue between the two of us it would probably be less stressful for both of us if I just talked with the duty manager. After I said that she agreed to fix it --It was such a simple, clear cut situation it's strange that she even wanted to debate it. She didn't appologize for the billing error and it was just some uneccessary morning stress. So even though the room was nice and I wanted to like the hotel I didn't. The hotel is in the nulu neighborhood which is a transitional, regentrifying area. It's a short walk to downtown Louisville but if you're walking to/from the city and it's nightime you don't want to walk south of Jefferson street. I would recommend Uber/Lyft or if you must walk, maybe walk one street north before heading west into downtown. I'm no expert on Louiville but I travel a lot and I noticed some pretty sketchy looking things south of Jefferson and even on Jefferson where you cross under the highway bridge. We tried to avoid those areas.
