Stay with Rooftop Dining at Tempo by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu in Kentucky

Welcoming and beautiful The hotel lobby was beautiful and that transferred to the room as well! The staff were friendly and welcoming. If I’m ever in the area again I would consider staying again!

Stylish Hotel, But Severely Lacking in True Accessibility We recently stayed at the Tempo by Hilton in Louisville and booked two rooms—one standard and one accessible. The experience was primarily a negative one. Pros: - The hotel has a very trendy, modern decor that makes a great first impression. - The Hilton app is a big plus—easy to navigate and I really appreciate being able to select my room number in advance. - Great location with convenient proximity to downtown attractions. - The rooms were clean. Cons: Unfortunately, the accessible room fell significantly short of expectations, especially for someone who uses a wheelchair. The experience left me in tears and I would not recommend this hotel for solo wheelchair users at this time. - The fridge in the accessible room was broken. - The drapery rods are mounted too high for someone in a wheelchair to reach. The drapes are open at check-in, which means you need assistance just to close them and get privacy or block light for sleep. - The desk area allows for a wheelchair to pull under, but the heavy chair in place was hard to move without help. - The carpeting is on the thicker side, which adds resistance and makes navigation more difficult. - The bathroom door was extremely heavy and nearly impossible to open or close independently from a seated position. - While the sink was accessible, the placement of toiletries was backwards: body wash was at the sink, and hand soap was in the shower. - In the shower, there were two shampoos and no conditioner, which I didn’t discover until I was already in the shower—very frustrating. - The accessible bathtub setup was particularly disheartening. The shower controls and handheld shower head were placed at the front of the tub, while the bench was fixed at the back. - There were so many grab bars in the bath/shower that there was no comfortable place to rest your back, as a bar was placed directly behind the bench. More is not always better. - There was no spot to place the handheld shower head, and the hose was too short to reach the bench. I tried setting it on the bench, but it fell and sprayed everywhere. - The water from the fixed shower head barely reached the bench so it wasn’t usable for me. - The handheld shower head was damaged—it was missing a piece, causing water to spray from the handle itself. Lastly, there is no direct access from the hotel to the parking garage, which added another layer of inconvenience. Final Thoughts: While the decor and app functionality are great, and the location is ideal, accessibility at this property needs serious reconsideration. The design choices seem made without input from actual wheelchair users. I genuinely hope the hotel takes this feedback to heart and makes changes, because the potential is there—but as it stands, this isn’t a comfortable or functional option for independent disabled travelers.

Mom and dad get away! We stayed here for a weekend away from 6 kids! The concierge of the hotel was wonderful and so interactive! We went to the rooftop and Thomas was the best bartender I’ve ever met! 10 out of 10

Rehearsal Dinner perfection! As a full-service wedding planner, I’m often asked to recommend locations for my clients’ rehearsal dinners. I just had my first rehearsal dinner with the High Stakes grill at Tempo hotel, and it was incredible! From the very beginning, Christine made everything so easy. She arranged for my clients to tour and followed up a menu tasting that was perfect. The rehearsal dinner took place on July 11th, and I truly can’t say enough about how perfect everything was. The space was fully prepared when we arrived, the staff were welcoming and kind, and the food was absolutely amazing. The entire staff’s attention to detail, the impeccable service, and the outstanding menu made Tempo the perfect choice. The mother of the groom was thrilled, and our out-of-town guests were wowed by the views of the city from the private rooftop space — a beautiful way to showcase Louisville. Impressive Rehearsal Dinner Sets Mood for a Beautiful Wedding Weekend in Louisville, KY I am so proud of our rehearsal dinner held at High Stakes at the Tempo Hotel in NuLu on July 11, 2025. The food was delicious. Everyone bragged on his or her meal and had a personal favorite item! I made a point to return to two of the best servers I’ve experienced in quite some time to express my gratitude for their service. Shawn and Danielle are excellent!
