Don't let the reviews scare you away! I was stressed about staying here after reading so many horrible reviews. But our son had an event at Pepperdine and this was the most affordable nearby hotel. I requested a room away from the freeway noise and front desk staff was helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. I'm glad we stayed and would stay there again.

Horrible customer experience Horrible experience! I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend this hotel to anyone!! I paid for the room in advance when making the reservation. When I checked in, I provided them a credit card for incidental. Upon check out, they charged my credit card for the stay. I stayed at the hotel for one night, and paid for it twice on 2 different credit cards. It is now 10 days later, and they still ha e not issued a refund on either of my crefit cards. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced!

Good location, false advertising for food and onsite restaurant Great location, staff is nice. The hotel has construction going on all over the place and they start really early. False advertising of the hotels bar, lounge and restaurant. There is no room service for food and the bar is always closed. A few days a week they serve pre packaged pastries and breakfast food for a few hrs but that’s all. They should not advertise food, bar or restaurant and they should charge accordingly for the staying during construction

Avoid Hotel is next to freeway and very noisy. Though it has nicely decorated, it is in poor shape. Has a musty odor throughout. Carpeting in some common areas is in pretty sad shape. We had a broken window frame in our room (and a view of the freeway, which is only 20ft away). Noisy guests. You have to pay for parking. Online pictures are quite misleading. No house keeping service unless requested- we asked to have it each day when we checked in and were told we had to make a new request every day. Small fitness center and pool. No full door on the shower. Furnishings in the room were decent and tasteful but overall would not recommend. There’s a reason that it doesn’t have a chain name on it (such as courtyard etc) - it’s not up to their standards. Pros: not much, the rooms are nicely furnished and relatively recently done over Cons: location, noise, service, property condition, price (though cheaper than others in the area, not a good value-it’s within a few bucks of much better hotels around)
