Wonderful ... But for the Noise. The hotel is very cool with a young vibe. The rooms are large and well appointed. The staff is great and the convenience to downtown Calabasas and the Valley and LA is perfect. HOWEVER, and it’s a big however, the hotel’s interior is all hard surfaces - no carpeting or sound absorption in the halls. The doors are heavy, and the hall carries the sound of doors closing, people walking, and conversations - it all echoes. And you hear it. Some rooms (mine) have adjoining doors to the room next door. Thankfully, my neighbors spoke German, or I would have been privy to their conversations. And, of course, the highway is a stone’s throw to the rear and Calabasas’ main road is right out front. You’ll hear them. So, if you’re impervious to noise, and want to stay somewhere above and beyond the typical hotel - you’ll love it.

Good location, false advertising for food and onsite restaurant Great location, staff is nice. The hotel has construction going on all over the place and they start really early. False advertising of the hotels bar, lounge and restaurant. There is no room service for food and the bar is always closed. A few days a week they serve pre packaged pastries and breakfast food for a few hrs but that’s all. They should not advertise food, bar or restaurant and they should charge accordingly for the staying during construction

Avoid Hotel is next to freeway and very noisy. Though it has nicely decorated, it is in poor shape. Has a musty odor throughout. Carpeting in some common areas is in pretty sad shape. We had a broken window frame in our room (and a view of the freeway, which is only 20ft away). Noisy guests. You have to pay for parking. Online pictures are quite misleading. No house keeping service unless requested- we asked to have it each day when we checked in and were told we had to make a new request every day. Small fitness center and pool. No full door on the shower. Furnishings in the room were decent and tasteful but overall would not recommend. There’s a reason that it doesn’t have a chain name on it (such as courtyard etc) - it’s not up to their standards. Pros: not much, the rooms are nicely furnished and relatively recently done over Cons: location, noise, service, property condition, price (though cheaper than others in the area, not a good value-it’s within a few bucks of much better hotels around)

Very bad hotel and worst service Worst service. Not hot water at the shower. Bad internet. Lights and coffe machine not working Noise !!!! The laundry room makes a strong and strange noise, till very late at night. The employees at reception , except the maids are terrible and have very bad manners I hardly stayed at a hotel like this ever !

This place is a bummer Room size and furniture were fine but do note that the "standard" rooms are the rooms along the freeway and, as a result, incredibly loud, particularly those (like mine) with windows that do not entirely close. There is a laundry room in the hotel but no detergent offered for sale and no machine to change dollars into the quarters required for the use of the machine (and the front desk refused to break bills into change). There seems to be a coffee shop but in five days I've not seen it staffed. Parking lot is tight and awkward.
