Dallas, Texas: Rejuvenated Urban Districts and Historical Parks

Though some know Dallas only for the massive AT&T Stadium (which is actually in Arlington), the city is also an enclave of arts and nature, overflowing with botanical gardens, art galleries, and live theater. Historic Main Street connects many of the city’s recently rejuvenated urban districts, as well as the popular Main Street Garden, a block-long public park surrounded by architecturally significant buildings.

A short walk from downtown Dallas, you’ll find horse-drawn carriages clopping along brick streets in the city’s historic West End district, which dates back to the 19th century. This part of the city also contains Dealey Plaza, where President Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963. At The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, housed in the former Texas School Book Depository, you can visit the spot where Lee Harvey Oswald is believed to have shot at Kennedy’s presidential motorcade.

Just okay, not the boutique hotel I was expecting. They had a decent bar, but the rooms are average. For the price you could go elsewhere for a better experience.

I had a horrible experience & it was due to their employee Jacob Hernandez. I checked in with no issues, after a few hours he banged on the door, demanded my ID, advised I was trying to "mooch", that I had not paid for the room and needed to get out now and he waited at the door. I was mortified and embarrassed. I called the front desk & Hannah was able to help me but still I would not recommend.

The Hotel itself was beautiful. The pool was alright but nothing mind blowing. And the room we got was SO TINY. you sit on the toilet and you’re hitting the shower doors with your arms. You couldn’t even get the bellhop cart in the room. I don’t think I’d stay here again if the room is going to be THAT small. And don’t drink the water or they’ll charge you $5 per bottle
