Traveler's Tips

  • Room Size & Features: Rooms have a vintage layout and charm, which means some may be smaller than modern hotels. Please note: some “double” beds may be full-size, not queen. Room features include a coffee maker, small TV, and safe.
  • Deposit Policy: A $100 refundable deposit is required at check-in via credit card. This will be returned upon checkout, assuming no incidental charges.
  • Parking: Self-parking is available for $25, and valet service at The Claridge is available for $35 (credit card only). Lost parking tickets will incur a fee.

Total mess A total mess. I couldn’t get to enjoy the amenities because the jacuzzi running water was coming out dirty , top roof was locked, homeless living at the parking garage stairs and a open syringe in the 4 floor parking garage. 2 elevator out order and a 15 min waiting time most of the time to use the other two.

AVOID THIS PLACE - don't let the glamour shots on their website fool you! I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 teenage males and we were given a room with 2 double beds. There is no place where 2 adult or adult sized people can sit comfortably in a double bed. I didn't even know that hotels still had double beds. Further the mattress is hard as a rock and the pillows are flat and the size of a throw pillow on a couch. We did not sleep well over the weekend and the poor upkeep of the hotel and lack of water along with poor customer service made it worse. The was some sort of leak during our stay that caused water to pour through the elevators and put 2 of the 5 out of commission. So it took at least 20 minutes to get an elevator and often when they would come they would be full. Then, there was a prom on Saturday night that made the elevators even harder to catch. I had surgery a few weeks ago and was forced to walk down 12 flights of stairs, which stairs are against doctors orders, only to get to the bottom and the door was locked. Thankfully I was able to call my son and he was able to get the door opened for me. The water leak made us not have any water available the next day. We were there for a basketball tournament and not having showers available for stinky teenage boys was unfathomable. We didn't trust eating at a place where there was no water for half the day. We tried to call and find out if the water was turned back on and the person hung up on us twice. The whole building needs to be remodeled, there should not be rooms with double beds, everything should at least be a queen and the staff needs better training. The pictures on your website are clearly glamour shots and don't show the reality that you get when you arrive at the property. Finally, upon check out no one was there to get the cars from valet...what were we paying $35 for?!?!?!!

Dirty and Dated Horrible. Its dirty and dated. We arrived as a family of 4. If your expectation is that 2 beds would fit a husband, wife and 2 small kids your wrong. The bed sizes are between a twin and full size. The staff did not clean the room before we checked in. The fridge was full of food. The ice machine on my floor had all types of garbage behind it. In front of my door had not been swept. Oh and the bed frames stick out because their old school mettle. My husband tore his shin up.
