Great overnight stay Everything fantastic the room spotless and comfortable entire staff was friendly and the bar and lobby was beautiful for an old historic building. The outside grounds were well maintained and it was a great location on the river and next to great places to eat.the whole experience was 5 star. We will definitely stay here again.

Outstanding! We absolutely loved this hotel. The interior design was really awesome - having just finished building and furnishing a home, I was fascinated by the clever design choices and materials….the lighting, furniture, floors, tile accents, wallpaper were creative yet really cohesive. The rooms were large, quiet, and comfortable (I’m very sensitive to noise and it was super peaceful). I can imagine how beautiful it is in the summer because it’s right on the Mississippi River and there’s an outdoor deck for dining. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant and were impressed with the quality of the food and the level of the service. The bar was festive and cheerful on a Friday night. And the prices were reasonable, which is a bonus.
It’s right on the River Walk and there are some charming shops and restaurants a block away. Easy parking also.
I hadn’t been inspired to write a review on TripAdvisor in quite a while, but this place was worth taking the time. All in all, excellent!

A real hidden gem! This review is for the restaurant, as we just happened to run across it. Man, it is an interesting place with top-notch food and excellent service. We stopped in for lunch at about 12:30 p.m. and were promptly seated at a table with a wonderful view of the river. Everything about this place was a 10. We look forward to coming over for a few nights when we wander along the river, stay a bit longer, and spend more time. Well done, folks!
