The Garland is steeped in Hollywood glamour—the hotel was founded by actress Beverly Garland, and it’s right near Universal Studios and the Hollywood Walk of Fame—but it’s also quite different from most properties in the area. Tucked away on 7 leafy acres, the hotel feels worlds away from Los Angeles with its tranquil gardens, towering pine trees, and adobe walls. Ms. Garland opened the hotel with her family more than 40 years ago, and it still retains a charming vintage vibe but with a fresh renovation that has given it an upscale flavor.
