Classic hotel Very comfortable mattress & bedding. A little dated facility but clean. Near Greek Theatre so good location. Would recommend.

Great mid-level hotel stay. Nothing fancy but great for the price. This hotel was honestly fine. Some of the reviews were making me nervous but I had a great stay here. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, the place felt secure because you had to swipe your keycard to get into the hotel, and it was very quiet at night. Also super convenient budget stay for both Universal and Greek Theatre. I think some of the people who had issues with the hotel were just not used to what it's like to travel in a city.

Not great Good: tv, mattress, exterior and hallway upkeep. Mini-frig and microwave. Room is small, but adequate. Not so good: room a little shabby, neighborhood so-so. Bed frame creaks. No coffeemaker in room. Bistro very expensive, $7 for smallest coffee. Worst: Hit in the head by the towel rack falling. No sympathy from the desk clerk. The toilet paper is mounted on the wall opposite the toilet. Reaching for paper, my wife brushed a towel and the whole towel rack fell on her head, raised a lump. The rack could not be securely remounted on its wall-brackets, because the brackets were badly mounted to the wall, askew and one was upside-down.
