Great hotel in downtown Bozeman We had a great time in Bozeman and really enjoyed The Lark hotel. Great location with many restaurants and shops close by. If visiting Bozeman again and need hotel accommodations, would choose The Lark. Only callout would be the parking. You will need to park at public parking structure and/or use The Lark's valet service. The parking structure is ~2 blocks away. However, short walk and safe area. They can assist with your parking fee when checking in. We chose to park ourself and no issues.

Bozeman, MT: Gateway to the American West's Wild Heart

Tucked beneath the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, Bozeman, Montana stands as a beacon of the American frontier—where rugged beauty, storied pasts, and modern vibrance converge. Founded in 1864 as a waypoint for westward pioneers, Bozeman has long embraced its role as both a historical crossroads and a contemporary cultural hub. Its Main Street echoes with the spirit of the Old West, lined with brick storefronts that now house art galleries, artisan cafés, and outfitters catering to the adventurer's soul. As home to Montana State University, Bozeman pairs academic vitality with deep-rooted traditions, offering a balanced rhythm of innovation and heritage.

Surrounded by the Gallatin, Bridger, and Madison mountain ranges, Bozeman is a natural gateway to Yellowstone National Park and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Outdoor enthusiasts are drawn year-round to its trails, rivers, and slopes, with world-class skiing in the winter and fly-fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing in the warmer months. Yet the city is more than its scenery—Bozeman is a celebration of resilience, intellect, and community spirit, shaped by the settlers who braved its wilds and the stewards who honor its legacy today. Whether you seek alpine thrills, historical insight, or a tranquil reprieve, Bozeman offers an invitation to experience the West as it was—and as it proudly endures.

Fine for one night. We stayed at the Lark for one night after our visit to Yellowstone. Hotel is cute and fun. We were on the ground level and our room got no sunlight since there we were on the first level. We also did not want to open the shades since there is a walkway right in front of the window. Set up is weird. There is no parking at the hotel. You have to park 2 blocks down for $15/night or valet for $30. Room was clean. Products in bath were great. Beds were comfortable but you only got 2 pillows per bed Staff is super helpful, friendly and accommodating. We left something behind and they immediately contacted us. They have free coffee, water and snacks. I wish they had more outdoor space, especially in front of the rooms. Fine for one night but I would not stay longer. Hotel is close to lots of shops and restaurants.

Too expensive for what it is No stopper in bathroom sink No handle on outside patio door to pull it closed. Too little suitcase space. No desk lamp Only chair is a little hard plastic chair from junior high school. No coffee maker in room Bathroom lights too far away from mirror inefficient. Face in the shadows No room seating. None Bed side light switch is on the wrong side of fixture No closet No long gown hanging space No microwave No refrigerator No bathroom door. Just a barn door slider Bath light switch on wrong side of doorway and mounted too far away to easily flip on. Cannot reach shower controls without standing in the water. So. Cold. Not able to moderate temperature until you are in the shower stream.

Buyer Beware, The hotel and staff are amazing, beautiful, clean, friendly, and convenient to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. However, the final bill was double what the website and written confirmations had promised, with no details about why. When I asked, I was told that they had run a promotion and it was simply an error that it was not included on my confirmation. Buyer beware. Bozeman is pricey to start with, but not being accurate in billing is inexcusable and illegal.

Fantastic stay! The front desk is so well organized, efficient, and thoughtful. They walk you through the entire process and take the time to thoroughly describe the experience you have to look forward to. Their knowledge of local attractions made dinner plans seamless. Adorable, modern, sleek room with a bed that was absolutely as comfortable as any I have experienced in my travels. To call this room spotless would be an understatement.
