Family-Friendly Lodge on Lake of the Ozarks
Hole three at The Cove golf course juts into the glittering Lake of the Ozarks, just past a lush stand of trees along the fairway. The Cove is one of two onsite championship golf courses on the 3,500-acre campus of The Lodge of Four Seasons, and it represents one of the many ways this sprawling family-friendly resort takes advantage of its massive property. There’s also Spa Shiki, a salon, a year-round indoor pool, three outdoor pools, and a 250-person movie theater.
The Cove—a par 71 course designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Sr.—features undulating fairways, 65 bunkers, manicured greens, and pedicured caddies. On The Ridge course, golfers hit drives down zoysia-grass fairways lined with local wildflowers.
The resort has three onsite dining options. HK's Restaurant, an upscale steak-and-seafood eatery which offers all-you-can-eat prime rib, seafood, and fresh-steamed Maine lobster on Friday evenings, sits near the Japanese gardens, and Breezes serves a daily breakfast buffet. After eating, guests can indulge in special vintage cocktails at the property's late-night club Thirst.
In the main-lodge lobby, you’ll find one-of-a-kind artwork from emerging talents—a hint of the lodge's commitment to artisan craftsmanship throughout the property. Guest rooms are adorned with country-style decor and blond-wood furnishings produced in Guadalajara, Mexico. The earthy taupe color palette complements the area's natural beauty, and floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of the surrounding terrain.
