Largest Room I ever had in NYC Fantastic location near Times Square. The Muse was the perfect spot visiting Manhattan with my daughter while I had to work at the Auto Show. To find a room with two beds that was decent sized and not too expensive in Manhattan was awesome. Just beware of those "fees" Would definitely stay again.

Location, Location, location. The location is perfect. Near enough to Times Square to walk there in five minutes but far enough away to avoid most of the riff raff. Good restaurants on the block. Hotel check in at 3pm with bag check if you show up early. Check out is at noon which we found generous. Water including sparkling is available in the hallway of each floor. Hotel is well maintained and the staff is helpful and professional. We will stay here again. There is a bar, restaurant off of lobby. I would not suggest the included breakfast plan. It's an order at the counter and was just so so for breakfast. Lots of better options in the area.

Good location. The hotel is centrally located near Times Square but quiet at night. I got a two-bed executive room so it was spacious. After a long day of walking, the high-pressure rain shower was the best part of the room. The room is clean, but there are minor maintenance issues (there is no drain stopper in one of the sinks, and I almost lost my ring down the drain). My room has no view but it wouldn't have mattered because the outside windows were absolutely filthy. We didn't open the shade the three nights we were there because the windows were filthy and gross. The hotel lobby and elevator were clean, and I saw team members working hard to keep the place clean. I suggest letting your guests know the hotel charges $3 a bag for storing luggage after checkout. Team members told me on two occasions that I could store luggage after check out, but neither mentioned a charge. I prefer knowing there's a charge and not being surprised by additional charges after checking out.

Great service, underwhelming hotel I stayed in two different rooms- an executive room on the 6th floor and a suite on the 12th floor. Starting with the positives- By far the service. The front desk staff was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Regarding room #1 on the 6th floor. Comfortable bed and room overall but it faced the street and was incredibly noisy (and I sleep with earplugs). The hotel is not responsible for outside noise but it is responsible for soundproofing which clearly wasn't done. The other problem in the room was the air conditioning. The noise from the unit was so incredibly loud... it was the kind of unit you would find in a 2-star property, not at a Kimpton hotel. The other problem was the lighting. The rooms are dark and the windows are set quite high so you don't really have any natural light at all. The room is clean but the decor is very basic... not the highest quality. In my room the refrigerator froze whatever I put into it and the outlets did not work next to my bed. The bathroom was nice but the shower was disappointing. The water pressure was quite weak and the amount of shower gel given was miniscule. In the suite, there far was less outdoor noise but the room again had exactly the same shortfalls. Dark, same issue with the shower and decor. Very basic and uninspiring. The location is great if you are working in Midtown but the proximity to Times Square for me was a downside. Too many people and impossible to access via taxi/Uber because of multiple street closures during my stay. Overall, I would say this was an old property that was given a quick aesthetic makeover with very little investment (clunky doors with cheap handles, old elevators, old AC units...). Really it felt like a hotel from the 1970s with new IKEA furnishings. I would have expected more.

Best hotel in NYC! I can't say enough about The Muse Hotel and it's staff! From the warm welcome and assistance with the luggage at the front door, the friendly and knowledgeable staff at the front desk and everything in between - The Muse is always the best! We stayed for our son's 18th birthday with his friends and the staff was so accommodating and helpful with breakfast recommendations, dinner reservations, directions and suggestions. We had three rooms for our party and the rooms are spacious and extremely clean. It was really hot in NYC while we were there and the great air conditioning was such a treat at the end of the day! The location of the property is absolutely perfect - so close to everything - it just can't be beat! We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and each stay is better than the last! The General Manager (and all staff!) really go out of their way at The Muse!
