Old,No WiFi, Outdated, noise, Tv was Like a Jail TV I brought my partner here for a Christmas present. I chose the hotel purely on the fact she had stayed there before a few years back. When we got there staff were very helpful, checked in they even upgraded us room for a late birthday present to myself. We got to the room and instantly the internet was not working. The room was also very out dated. Initially at check in there was a €250 charge to cover facility fees/safety deposit included which was €100. We went to reception more than once about the internet, explained we were from ireland and that we needed contact from home. Advised them we would be out all day and would hope this would have been resolved when we got back, this wasn’t. We were staying here for a total of 5 nights 6 days, the internet got fixed 12 hours before check out. At this point me and my partner had went out of our on way and bought 2 pre paid sims, which were the best purchase. Very helpful if ever stuck. We went back and explained to reception we would like the total facility fees for the duration of our stay to be wavered and for us to not be charged. We were told numerous of times by numerous of staff that this was done, this wasn’t. Check out this morning we double checked this, they had it that 5 nights were wavered and we would have to pay the remainder night as this started working 12 hours before we checked out. After explaining to the member of staff that we had not used this internet at all the whole stay and our now out of pocket regarding 2 sims, we would like this completely removed from the bill, which in the end it was. Wouldn’t stay again good location.

New York Stay Excellent location, felt very safe in the hotel as key cards were checked evertime you went to the lifts, lovely cleaning staff, very prompt and friendly check in and out staff.Rooms clean but a little bit dated, rooms an average size for New York.Had an issue with the Internet but was due to roadworks outside and never had Internet for the week. However this was reflected in my tourist charge and my daughter had an e sim card so it was fine. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

Location, Location, Location Fabulous location on the corner of 8th Avenue and West 34th Street. Macy’s and the Empire State Building just a block or two up 34th Street. Penn Station and Madison Square Garden just across the road. The interior of the hotel is showing its age (nearly 100 years old) and could do with a lot of money being spent on it to modernise it but also be faithful to the art deco style. If I stay here again it would be purely because of the location. We were part of a package trip and did not choose the hotel.
