Basic resort - clean - good food - easy to get around! Generally a pretty solid Cancun resort. Not the newest or the flashiest - but solid throughout. The big 3 for me are: Comfortable Rooms, Staff/Service, Food. The Room we had (3313-Beachfront in the Pyramid Luxury) was large (it looked like they had converted 2 rooms into a suite) and had 2 bathrooms - a large King bed (2 doubles pushed together) - 2 balconies (1 furnished, 1 unfurnished) - and a couch that folded into a small bed (perfect size for our 11 year old). It was reasonably updated, but was clearly getting a little long in the tooth. The finishes were worn - the counters were chipped - the overall aesthetic was fine - but tired. A/C worked flawlessly, housekeeping was amazing, minibar was always stocked, and linens were perfectly fine. The resort itself was much the same. Everything was good - but a little worn. The staff works tirelessly to keep the fresh look of the resort, but after staying in newer resorts south of the strip - you can tell the old refurbs vs the new builds. A little like visiting DT Las Vegas and then going to the Strip ... Both are fine - and both are fun - it's just about preference! The pools were nice - but maybe better for little kids (<5y.o.) or teens who are no longer interested in playing around the resort. My 8 & 11 year olds were bored of the pools by day 2 - and there really isn't a lot else to do on the resort. In an era of climbing walls and zip lines and entertainment staff and water parks - this is a resort with none of the above that can feel quite calm. Worth noting were the various members of staff that helped our vacation be as good as it could be - Erica from housekeeping, Wendy from Concierge, Marco from Dos Lunas, and countless others in the buffet and restaurant team that were endlessly helpful and kind.

Horrible in every aspect I never write reviews but this one needs to be done for people not to waste their money. Horrendous place in every aspect. Bad quality of food, very limited options, old place, dirty, musty smell and pictures posted on TripAdvisor and Expedia have NOTHING TO DO with the reality. This is a joke. DO NOT EXPECT what you see on the pics. I would like to know where are those pictures from? Where were they taken? Those pictures are fooling people. I would have liked to take pictures of my room. Shower drain was an open hole, shower faucets were put next to shower because they were broken and you had to put them in place to open the shower. OMG if I had stayed at a hotel with the pictures posted here and on Expedia I would have loved it and let me tell you, I paid 6000 dollars for 3 nights 2 rooms including flight from Miami, so it was not cheap at all. Furniture on the room were from 1950 I guess, iron furniture and rusty. I spent only 1 night at this property and the following morning I booked Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun paying extra 2100 dollars to just leave that place what means I ended paying 8000 dollars for 3 nights vacation, 2 rooms, 5 people from Miami. Also, I just returned from that hotel and don't understand the 10/10 reviews, totally confused.
