It was absolutely amazing. The service was top tier, the rooms and the views were top tier. The all inclusive is the best thing they offer in my humble opinion and you can eat and drink ALL DAY with it. Top floor roof top with Caribbean pop vibes. I wish I could go back right now. You won’t be disappointed.

Playa del Carmen, Mexico: Trendy Beach Area and Diving Destination

Just across the sea from the island of Cozumel, Playa del Carmen has been called "the hippest city in all of the Yucatán Peninsula" by Lonely Planet. The laid-back beach bars and cafés have a way of converting vacationers into expats, but Playa's most compelling draw might be its cenotes—cavernous sinkholes filled with turquoise pools. The water in the cenotes is crystal clear, particularly at the lily-pad-dotted Xlacah cenote, where you can snorkel among schools of colorful fish.

To the south, you'll find preserved ruins of pre-Columbian cities. Tulum's crumbling temples are situated above a dramatic ocean bluff, and Coba's enormous pyramid rises between two lagoons. For a fun day trip, hop aboard the ferry to Cozumel, which docks at the pier east of Calle 1. There are about a dozen dive shops on Cozumel, and they offer trips offshore to the reefs that Jacques Cousteau declared some of the world's most beautiful.

Not great customer service I want to start by saying some of the staff at this hotel are lovely however some are unbelievably rude and inconsiderate which spoils it for those that are great. The staff at reception particularly are really lacking generally on customer service. We stayed initially in a room that was very loud, mainly due to the swimming pool pump. We put up with this for three night but then had to ask to move. When asking for a room change at reception the response was ‘yes others have said that’ and then it took ages for us to be offered a different room even though the hotel is not busy! By this point we had sleep deprivation so appreciated a lower standard room, with a tiny balcony facing a wall, but at least quieter. However in the new room the safe did not work..,again the attitude was very ‘laissez faire’. We were told someone from reception would come to the room at 8am the following morning however no-one turned up. We have now today asked it considering everything we can have the lower standards room a little longer before departing and been told we have to pay for the pleasure….when I questioned this considering everything I just got basically shrugged shoulders and a ‘tough luck’ response. Things additionally to mention: - the hard sell event is more like 3 hours not 90 minutes and staff are incredibly rude if you try to say no. - food on the all inclusive can be quite limited although you are shown all the options that you cannot have unless you pay - the Mexican has a loud dj playing which is very odd for a restaurant - room service is intermittent…bit pot luck if you get coffee left in the room, shower gel etc…when you call and ask if you can have something stocked up again the attitude is awful and as if you are a nuisance - at the rooftop parties they squeeze as many people in as possible to clearly make as much money as possible so be aware as you can hardly move in the pool at times Again some lovely staff at the rooftop bar and Mexican. And, a couple of lovely staff at breakfast. But in summary not 5 star standard and the rude attitude by some core staff ruins the experience.
