Mardi Gras We had the absolute best Mardi Gras stay thanks to Keith Williams at the River Front Hotel in New Orleans! From the moment we arrived, Keith made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Mardi Gras can be hectic, but he handled everything with professionalism, calmness, and such a positive attitude. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was smooth, comfortable, and fun — from helpful local tips to making sure we had everything we needed during the busy celebrations. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about guests having a memorable experience, but Keith truly does. Because of him, our Mardi Gras trip was stress-free and unforgettable. If you’re planning a stay during Mardi Gras (or anytime, really), I highly recommend this hotel — and if you’re lucky enough to work with Keith, you’re in great hands! _✨

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Our volleyball team had a stay-n-play at The Riverfront Hotel February 19-22nd for a tournament played at the nearby convention center. Our coach’s flight didn’t leave until Monday morning, so I booked him an extra night as a separate reservation (because adding an extra night through the stay-n-play would’ve cost $200 extra than the online price). I called the hotel to make sure the 2 reservations were linked & they assured me that he would be allowed to remain in the same room so he wouldn’t have to remove all his belongings on Sunday. After a long day of matches Sunday, he returned to his room to find that housekeeping had cleaned out all of his belongings! They were never able to find an expensive laptop charger & threw out his $60 worth of coffee. After speaking with the operations manager, Nicholas, on multiple occasions, he agreed to replace the charger & coffee with provided receipts. And told our coach that all of his room charges for food would be comped. Now, nearly 2 weeks later— Nicholas has not responded to multiple phone messages or emails. And not only have the items not been reimbursed, but his credit card was charged $131 for incidentals that were supposed to be reversed by the hotel. Absolutely unacceptable.

The worst experience I have ever had at a hotel We were in NOLA for a conference at the conference center just across from the hotel. We were there during Mardi Gras. I have never in my life left a bad review for a hotel, but this time I had to do it. Our door lock did not work the ENTIRE time we stayed in this hotel. For FIVE days we reported that our keys failed to work and for FIVE days we were not assisted and we constantly went to get new keys. We were not believed and we were not helped. Finally on the day before we left, we got new keys, went up to our room and those keys did not work either! This is after the battery in our door key card opener was replaced! We asked the manager for a discount on our bill and he told us he could not help us and needed the female day manager to deal with it. He then, went upstairs to "test" if the keys really did not work in the door and BIG SURPRISE they did not work. I have never in all my life asked for a discount on a hotel but this was too much. This was the worst service I have EVER received in my life. I was staying with a colleague and left earlier than her. I paid my full share of the room, so not sure if she got the discount but I will NEVER ever stay there again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

Amazing customer service- from a worst moment to a best day My husband and I were here for our first trip on a cruise porting out of New Orleans. What was supposed to be a wonderful beginning was met with a horrible experience with airplane delays, losing luggage, dinner reservation, cancellations and exhaustion. Once we got to the hotel, we found out that Expedia canceled our room unbeknownst to us. Mind you this was during Mardi Gras, so there was zero hotels available, our wonderful guest service associate Rudy, was more than fantastic and helping us create a solution and navigate the issue. She made us feel at ease and was able to get our room situation rectified. We did encounter some issues with the hotel manager that was on duty with Rudy on February 14, this manager seemed irritable and unwilling to assist. That was the only downside. We spoke with the morning staff on the 15th, and we met Terry, the food and beverage supervisor, ans well as Nick, the operations manager and both were absolutely fantastic as well, not only did they accommodate us from our issues the day/night before, they really made us feel at ease and welcomed in this hotel. Because of Rudy and Terry and the operations manager Nick, at this hotel, we will definitely return. Thank you so much to the 3 of you for turning our trip around to a positive one
