Work Trip to New Orleans Just spent a few days at the Riverfront Hotel for work. Really great location for daily seminars at the convention center. The building is old and if you cannot do stairs, you might want to avoid the third floor (not sure about other floors) but I had to navigate down long hallways and up one set of six steps and down another set of six steps. The staff, however, was great. Housekeeping provided clean room and towels daily, front desk attendants were helpful and courteous, free coffee was hot, in room dining is a good choice, and the staff on valet parking duty were fast and polite.

Worst Experience at The Riverfront Hotel I was taken off guard and very disappointed. The front desk ladies were very nice. When we got to the room I went to open the cabinet where the refrigerator was located and the door hung off to the side. The chair on the side was dirty. We had just arrived so we did not want to go out and decided to eat dinner downstairs. The person at the bar was extremely rude. He acted like he did not see us even though he looked over at us. We went back to the front desk to ask the ladies for help. They told us that the bar person was supposed to help us. He had us standing for at least 10 minutes with no response. When he finally told us to seat ourselves he came in after about 10 more minutes to take our order. We then saw him leaving going outside and smoking a cigarette or something while we were waiting. While we were waiting for him to return we saw a mouse run across the floor. He proceeded to walk down the street. We decided to leave because at that point we did not feel secure with eating there or drinking there. The serve was the worst I had ever experienced while on a vacation.

Worst hotel for the price This, was one of the worst hotel experiences on my cross country road trip. I was given a handicap room with no shower gel, a broken and dilapidated ironing board, the hotel manager, Kissy, gave me the incorrect bar hours, and I paid the valet service $50.00 to spill their drink in my seat. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

great stay! great location, extremely friendly staff (the highlight of my trip!), and delicious food. the hotel could use some room updates, which is why only 4 stars not 5. but if you’re not particular about small issues like that, this place is perfect

No value for the price I stayed here while I was attending a conference at the convention center. I chose this hotel for the location and that was perfect for walking to restaurants and getting to the convention center efficiently; it was less than a 5 min walk to the convention center. However, the pictures online do not represent my experience. My room had several broken electrical outlets, the room had poor lighting, broken doors on furniture and I found staff to be rude. I did request a staff member to fix the broken mirror, but that did not happen during my 4 day stay. I ordered a cocktail from the bar and it was not good. I took the cocktail to my room and could only choke down a few sips, so I left the glass on the counter. In 3 days, house keeping did not remove the discarded cocktail from my room- so I got to look at a festering, half drank, saaaaaaalllllltttty martini. Customer service and quality of rooms was poor. I would not recommend.
