Hotel at a Glance: Row NYC

Row NYC looks like it belongs in an art museum. The iconic exterior was designed in 1928 by notable theater architect Herbert J. Knapp. Modern-art installations can be spotted throughout the interior: an animated light sculpture by video artist Yorgo Alexopoulos, photographs of New York street scenes, and a digital gallery of works by paparazzo Ron Galella. The 4-star hotel is all encased in a sleek array of stainless steel, dark wood, and glass in Times Square.

  • Added perk: This deal includes a $10 coupon to City Kitchen, a brand-new food market featuring vendors from across New York. Grub Street called it the “massive new food hall that Times Square has been waiting for.” Here, visitors and locals can get a taste of the different cuisine found around the city.
  • Onsite cafe: District M is a European-style cafe during the day, a cocktail bar serving pizzas at night, and free nightly entertainment.
  • Easy access to subway trains: The 42 St / Port Authority Bus Terminal MTA stop is a two-minute walk from the hotel.
  • Stay connected at the iMac internet lounge.
  • What’s nearby?: Times Square and the theaters on Broadway and Rockefeller Center are within a few blocks.
  • Get a workout in at CYC fitness, located onsite.
  • Visit Glam & Go, a beauty bar offering hairstyle services on the go. See more info here.

Times Square, Manhattan: Flashy Neon Lights and World-Class Culture

Times Square is located at the intersection of Broadway and Seventh Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The famous address—affectionately known as “the Crossroads of the World”—is home to hypnotizing billboards, giant wraparound news tickers, and the neon lights of Broadway. Beyond the glitz and gimmicks, there are a number of world-class cultural offerings in the area, ranging from museums to Michelin-rated restaurants. Buildings of historical and architectural interest include the Paramount Building and One Times Square, site of the annual New Year’s Eve ball drop.

Nearby, the Museum of Modern Art houses a trove of masterpieces including Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night, Claude Monet’s waterlily paintings, and Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans. Save time for a stroll through the museum’s outdoor sculpture garden, where dazzling installations are clustered around sparkling reflecting pools. About a mile north of Times Square, the David H. Koch Theater is home to one of the world’s foremost dance companies—the New York City Ballet, which stages contemporary works as well as classics like Swan Lake and The Nutcracker.

Got there Saturday early in the morning and they told me I had to buy two nights to stay there till Sunday morning. so I payed for two nights desperate with no place to go.. when I get to my room.. it’s not what I payed for & had to go back to the front desk & wait another hour for things to get corrected. The only thing that looked good was the beds.. bathroom dirty, furniture dirty. Rip off

The hotel room was dirty and my bathroom wreaked of urine! I was unaware of extra daily fees on top of the Groupon and when I checked out the staff said NOTHING to me. I would never stay here again.

I wish I could give a lesser rating. The room was not clean there was hair in the bed (not mine) and the furniture was damaged. Just seemed so run down. The hotel hall ways were so hot no mini fridge in the room. Just wasn’t impressed at all . Then I get an additional $40 charge on my card and was told it was for a facility use fee ?? WTH!! Go else Where pay a few more it’s with it.
