Hotel at a Glance: The Scott Resort and Spa

The Scott Resort & Spa is an homage to adventure and heritage, a boutique sanctuary nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Scottsdale. Through its bold blend of Old Havana’s striking hues, New Orleans’ sultry energy, Bauhaus’s refined precision, and the timeless spirit of the Salt River Valley, the resort stands as a testament to historical pride and creative vision. Following a $15 million reinvent, completed in November 2018, this desert retreat fuses indoor and outdoor living, inviting guests to wander freely among lush courtyards, torchlit pools with sandy “beach” entries, and intimate cabanas crafted for luxurious repose.

Within this tapestry of style and storytelling lies The Canal Club, a storied urban restaurant that channels Hemingway’s era of Cuban exploration. Guests can sip artisanal cocktails at their private cabanas or settle in for refined, multi‑course Caribbean‑inspired fare served under softly glowing lanterns. Adjacent, La Vidorra Spa’s 3,500 sq ft of tranquil space offers six treatment rooms, herbal tea, robes, and slippers, reinforcing the resort’s dedication to bespoke wellness.

We stayed for a mini staycation. The purpose was to enjoy the pool and decompress. We rented a cabana for the day which I highly recommend! The decor was absolutely wonderful! The fool was clever and delicious! Every staff person from Valet, Front Desk, Pool Service and room service was absolutely excellent! We will definitely return!

Canal Club The canal club was so cute and the service was amazing! Our server, Elaine, made us feel right at home. She was attentive, kind, and did an amazing job! Will definitely be coming again!

It's a pretty nice place Beautifully re-done mid-century hotel with several different wings, multiple large pools (including with a sandy beach entry), restaurant, bar and beautiful lobby. Very friendly staff, nice rooms, comfortable beds. Clientele was kind iffy - if you're looking to party with friends - this is your place, if you're looking to relax with your significant other, it might not be a great fit. A lot of thongs (and I don't mean shoes) and intoxicated people at the pool. That's not the hotel's fault but if that's not your scene, might want to look elsewhere.

Nice resort with great bar and food Nice resort, old Havana, Cuba vibe. Room was spacious with a generous seating area and comfortable bed. All rooms seem to have a patio or balcony, some overlooking the pool. We asked for a quiet room, away from the pool, but were very disappointed that the noisy tree trimmers with their loud equipment started before 7:00 am right outside our window! Nice bar in the large lobby with a great bartender, Zac. All of the tapas food that we ordered was delicious (ceviche, tostones and jerk chicken skewers). Two small but nice pools with a poolside bar. One pool even had a small sandy beach area. Plenty of shady spots to sit by the pool. Except for the tree trimmers, it was a nice stay.
