Cheap room in a good location. Severe dangerous electrical issue It is what it is. Cheap room in good location. Keep this in mind however: Bathroom is VERY small Beds are clean, but room is old and looks it. My biggest concern is that when we looked in one of the cabinets (room 309), the outet was not attached and hanging loose.. very dangerous for little ones. (See picture) If not for the electrical outlet, I would have e rated higher.

Good location in midtown My daughter and I stayed at the Shoreham for one night during our stopover in NYC. Great location in midtown: you can walk or take the subway anywhere! The staff at this hotel were both friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was large and clean, but everything was a bit on the older side and could use a bit of a refresh. However, for the price and location, this is a decent choice.

No way, go elsewhere There is nothing about this place that doesn't need fixing - every surface is stained, peeling, corroded or worn out. I had to wait at the check-in for 15 minutes because no one was there at 8 p.m. I did not feel safe in my room and literally barricaded myself in. There are red spots on the tub -- rust or blood, who knows? Noisy, noisy all night long and I kept waking up to make sure no one had entered the room. Unless you seriously have no other option, don't stay there. I feel bad for housekeeping trying to make this place look decent.
