Why would you want to stay any where else than The Sparrow? We stayed at The Finch while in Walla Walla, WA-so when we zipped to Boise, it was a no brainer to stay at The Sparrow! Such a fun, funky, clean place to stay. The bed, sheets and pillows are fabulous. The shower--amazing! Handsoap and lotion-so good! The staff is so friendly and helpful-I love the system of being able to text them questions or for recommendations for cool places to see or restaurants. FYI-Bacon, which was recommended, is really cool and delicious and pet friendly! The area is super safe-I roamed around downtown just with my two pups just to walk after a long drive, and it was fun. I had no idea Boise was so fun and funky as well! They also have hotels in Missoula and Bozeman, Montana. Their grounds is clean, with outside seating and corn hole game set up for use! I love that in the room they have recycle bins as well. I can't praise this hotel enough for their accomodations and staff! Our pups give it four paws up as well!

Downtown Great spot right downtown. Always comfortable and hospitable. Love the cafe and available parking, too! I try to stay here every time I’m in Boise.

Two words…Stay Here!! Our family of 3 loved everything about the Sparrow in downtown Boise! Great, walkable location, very cool/fun vibe, nice little courtyard area with corn-hole, fire pits and tables, and the rooms were perfection with comfy beds to boot! Pet friendly is a huge bonus and they even provide a nice little pooch welcome package. Would definitely stay here again!

Some of the friendliest staff I have encountered - great stay. Very cool hotel with an energetic and welcoming staff across the board. Entire team friendly, professional, and helpful from check in to departure. Truly made us feel welcomed and valued. Bed, extremely comfortable, good Wi-Fi and location could not be better. Nice coffee shop in the lobby, everything is new and fresh, don’t miss taking the stairs at least once to review the local geographic trivia. Finally, outside area is quiet and accommodating. When the weather is good, nice place to relax in an Adirondack with a beverage and just chill. The best dinner venues in downtown are just a 5-minute walk away. Solid hotel choice, definitely recommend. Finally, thanks again Sara, Ayla and the entire Sparrow team!

Perfect Staycation Spot in the Heart of Boise My wife and I stayed at The Sparrow on the night of June 14th as a little staycation to celebrate her birthday, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel is newly remodeled and located in a dynamic, up-and-coming part of downtown Boise. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel welcome—friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating.
The rooms are thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable. We stayed with another couple in the adjacent room, and both rooms featured local artwork that beautifully highlighted Boise’s natural beauty and rich history. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the entire space was clean, modern, and inviting—exactly what we were hoping for during our one-night getaway.
What really sets The Sparrow apart is its location. You’re steps away from amazing restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and just a short drive from outdoor adventures like skiing at Bogus Basin, rafting the Boise River, or exploring the hiking and biking trails in the Boise foothills.
Whether you’re visiting Boise or planning a local escape, I highly recommend The Sparrow. It’s a fantastic place to stay and a great way to experience everything the city has to offer.
