Hotel at a Glance: The Tower Hotel

There’s really no bad view from inside the Tower Hotel. Built in 1962 in the Fallsview area, it looms more than 500 feet above Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the cascades that compose Niagara Falls. But just as important as its height is the tower’s unique top-heavy structure, whereby only the highest floors can fit the hotel’s accommodations. Because of this, all of its guest rooms—which occupy floors 27 through 30—offer sweeping panoramic views, adding a magnificent and romantic backdrop to guests’ stay.

  • Prime location over Niagara Falls: The tower sits just 500 yards from the Falls and overlooks the Horseshoe Falls.
  • Close to entertainment: Only a short walk separates the boutique hotel from myriad dining options and the Niagara Fallsview Casino.
  • Romantic perks This Getaway comes with a couples package per stay, which features dining vouchers valid at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Keg Steakhouse + Bar, TGI Fridays Restaurant & Bar, and IHOP.

Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls near Vegas-Style Casinos and Water Parks

At Niagara Falls, water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls’ photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.

Hornblower cruises ferry raincoat-clad passengers around the base of the falls from April to October, depending on the river’s ice conditions. Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—visitors board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps from the cascading water. A 10-minute walk from the falls is the neon-lit Clifton Hill neighborhood. Its Fallsview Boulevard has plenty of Vegas-style kitsch, including glitzy casinos and indoor water parks.

WOW-JUST WOW This hotel far exceeded my expectations and was totally amazing. We had the best view of the Falls and the room was clean and updated with floor to ceiling windows. Granted, it was small, but we could not have asked for a better room anywhere in the area. The staff were exceptional and helpful. Scott gave us meal suggestions and gave us a handout with recommendations. All the front desk staff were nice as well as the valets. Parking was reasonably priced and although it was not on site, it was easy to get to. We were on the 29th floor with in a Fallsview room, and I cannot say enough about it. It was just breathtaking. Thank you to the Tower Hotel Staff for such a great experience.

Brand new room with a view I had booked 2 separate reservations of 1 night each because they didn’t have a king Fallsview room available for my first night, but when I arrived the front desk I advised the front desk clerk what I had done. The clerk then advised me that a king Fallsview room just came back online after being remodeled and that I could then stay in the same room for both nights. The room was brand new looking, in fact I might have been the first guest in this newly remodeled room 2702 with a great view of all the falls. The only negative was when I came back from my 8 hour tour my room keys had been deactivated and they had to re-register me for the 2nd night and when I went up to my room the 2nd time the key still didn’t work and I had to go back down to the front desk again.
