I went to Legoland with my granddaughter and crashed here after. Minutes away. Beautiful resort, pool is lovely. We ordered room service. The food was delicious.

Even if we lost all weekend in soccer, we won haha I will say this is one of the best trips at the Westin due to the service and the staff. From front of desk to valet to the breakfast service, everyone was over and beyond the nicest.

Great stay in Carlsbad Great atmosphere. We were in town for a wedding and the location overlooked the ocean and the views were gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and all of the staff was great. The overall value was worth it

Inconsistent service, unvalued guests I’ve loved staying at Westin properties for years. They often provide a high level of consistent customer service, quality amenities, and beautiful properties. Unfortunately, this wasn’t our experience at the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa. When you try to call the hotel to speak to someone at the front desk, you get caught in an AI loop that never offers a way to speak to an actual person. We did not feel warmly welcomed or acknowledged at check-in. The furniture is tired and flooring in our executive suite was well-worn with scuff marks. Our suite had a dirty sock from the previous guest when we checked in. It was missing a fire alarm in our bedroom. In-room dining was often cold by the time it was delivered. Besides internet, there wasn’t much offered for a $35/day resort fee during the off season. The final, most disappointing experience was with valet. We opted to pay slightly more to park valet. Upon returning one evening, not one of fhe two attendants standing at the desk met our vehicle or said a word to us. No one offered any help as we got our toddler out of the vehicle, pulled out a stroller, opened it, and removed several bags of groceries, I asked the valets if I should just leave the keys in the vehicle. They barely replied, “yeah that works.” A third valet, the youngest, was the only one hustling to help welcome people and park vehicles. After parking a vehicle, when we had finished grabbing our things, he was hurried over to ask if we were set. With all of this inconsistency, issue after issue, and lack of value in our business from anyone at this property, we have opted to look beyond the Westin brand to meet our future travel needs.
