It was 2 queen beds. Very clean and quite. But, the bathroom had no soap and no cups. I think it may have been missed. Beds were comfortable. Front desk staff was very friendly. Lobby had a wonderful smell. Restaurants were within walking distance.

Downtown San Antonio: Skyscrapers and the Alamo near the Original Riverwalk

In the late 1920s, architect Robert H. H. Hugman designed an urban park around the San Antonio River. He envisioned a space that would be the American version of Venice, where people could shop and dine along the waterfront. The original section, a 2.5-mile riverwalk running through downtown, was completed in 1941. It’s been a vital artery in the heart of San Antonio ever since; so vital, in fact, that the city added two extensions in the 2000s—Museum Reach and Mission Reach—that elongated the riverwalk to 15 miles total.

Located one story below street level, the downtown section of the riverwalk bustles day and night. Stone pathways on either side of the river wind past waterfalls and public art installations on their way to restaurants, boutiques, and lively cantinas that stay open well into the night. Downtown San Antonio is also where you’ll find the Alamo. The historic mission-turned-fortress is one of the most visited tourist sites in the state, thanks to the 1836 battle that made it a symbol of Texas independence. Admission is free for all ages.

Service was really great, room and facility a little on the older side. But the bed was comfortable and with the Groupon it made it worth it.

Worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed at Overcharged for stay. Was charged both by the hotel and Expedia. Stay was for two night for $315, charged again two days later $143. Charged again today $178.64 by the hotel itself…thought the charge was a mistake for being overcharged for incidental, then was told over the phone it was pet fee for 3 nights even though I only stayed half one night and left due to feeling uncomfortable with the room and bad experience with woman on meth harassing my husband and I in the hot tub. Was hung up on by hotel again. Spoke to someone earlier today and said I would get a $128 refund, called again with Expedia and was told that my request was denied for pet fee and the stay bc the hotel would not approve my request. I have videos and picture of how I left the room in good condition. I left during the middle of the first night because our stay was so bad. No trash trash bags in trash cans in room, no soap or conditioner in refillable containers in the room. I was sent a nasty email from front office about my pet barking even though I kept him in the carrier while I was out seeing family. Expected me to stay confined to my hotel room since I brought pet. You are not pet friendly. Pet fee was $50 a night. I only stayed one night and we charged $178. For what was supposed to be a 3 night stay for around $300 I was charged in total $636 for one night because the hotel would not refund me the additional nights I did not stay for. Currently filing a claim with the BBB. Taking legal action.

Excellent Stay – Thank You Amelia! I had a wonderful experience at The Westin San Antonio North. Amelia at the front desk went above and beyond by upgrading my stay to an elite room after noticing how much I had traveled to get to Texas – it truly meant a lot. The hotel is spotless, the food is delicious, and the rooms are beautiful, spacious, and incredibly clean. I highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and service!
