Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey: Seaside Boardwalk with Family-Friendly Amusement-Park Rides and Aquarium
Point Pleasant Beach is a popular spot for families vacationing on the Jersey Shore. Hugging the town's namesake beach, the mile-long Jenkinson's Boardwalk is lined with concession stands, souvenir shops, and arcade games. You can play a round of mini golf, nibble on saltwater taffy, or take a spin on amusement-park rides such as a carousel and bumper cars.
Be sure to visit the boardwalk's centerpiece, Jenkinson's Aquarium, home to African penguins, seals, alligators, and sharks. If you time your visit right, you can catch one of the thrice-daily animal feedings.
