Great hotel and good organic food choices. Hotel restaurant is awesome as well and has great drinks. Only thing negative for me was that they have a pool which is very small and not a hot tub.

Modern hotel in the Seaport neighborhood of Boston offers its guests free WiFi, an indoor pool, and easy access to the airport

Hotel at a Glance: 3-Star Top-Secret Boston Hotel

Much like Boston itself, its Seaport neighborhood mixes history with culture, and this top-secret Boston hotel is right in the middle of some of Seaport’s best. Within a two-mile radius, visitors can find the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Boston Children’s Museum, the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, and a plethora of other historical and cultural attractions.

  • Listen to live performances in the hotel’s bar, which hosts local acoustic talent.
  • Grab a hot breakfast, which is available for purchase in the hotel’s food market.
  • Head to the harbor at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion, an outdoor concert venue that overlooks the water.
  • Backyard in the city: Across the street, the hotel owns a grassy lawn where guests can play yard games or enjoy a picnic in the park.
  • Minutes from downtown: While the hotel is nestled in the Seaport area, its close enough to the downtown area that you can spend your days exploring Boston’s Freedom Trail, enjoying a harborside bowl of New England clam chowder, or posing in front of the Cheers bar.

Downtown Boston: Revolution-Era Landmarks and Modern Skyscrapers

Downtown Boston is home to one of the country’s wackiest city layouts. Its colonial-village lanes converge, split, and take hairpin turns, creating a maze of cobblestone that, though frustrating for drivers, makes for a fun walking experience. If you’re visiting for the first time, the best way to navigate the area is to follow the 2.5-mile-long Freedom Trail, which takes you past 16 historical landmarks, including Paul Revere’s home, Old North Church (of “One if by land, two if by sea” fame), and Faneuil Hall. You can use Boston public transportation to explore the city if you tire of walking.

Since the area is also the city’s financial district, centuries-old fixtures share sidewalk space with modern 40-story office towers. You’ll find suit-clad professionals grabbing lunch on Washington Street, which is lined with street vendors and flower shops. For a fancier dining experience—and some of Boston’s best shopping—head a mile west to Beacon Hill, home to gas lamps, brick sidewalks, and antique shops.

Downtown is also where you’ll find several of the city’s quirkier neighborhoods, such as the Leather District and Chinatown. The former, with its rustic warehouses, is the closest example of what the business center looked like in the 1800s. The latter boasts one of the city’s densest concentrations of restaurants.
