St. Louis, Missouri: Urban Park Space and Brewery Tours in the Gateway City

The first thing you notice about the St. Louis Gateway Arch is its height: at 630 feet, it’s the tallest manmade monument in the United States, and it dwarfs the other buildings of the St. Louis skyline. Less obvious is the fact that the Arch is exactly as tall as it is wide, stretching out along the banks of the Mississippi River. You can take a ride to the summit for a bird’s-eye view of the city’s skyline and riverboats riding the Mississippi. Make sure you get to the Arch before 10 a.m.; after that, the lines start to get long, and tickets sometimes sell out in the afternoon. A few miles down the river, you’ll find the headquarters of brewing giant Anheuser-Busch, which began producing there in 1852. On a tour through the red-brick brewery, you can sample beers and visit the stables where the company keeps its iconic clydesdale horses.

Nearby Forest Park’s more than 1,200 acres of green space are also worth a visit. Contained in this space is the Saint Louis Zoo, which corrals hundreds of species in several different habitats; it’s frequently cited as one of the best zoos in the country, and entrance is free.

The service we received was awesome but I’m pretty sure the fire alarm had been taken apart, the vending area was pitiful, and the front entrance parking could use better markers than just the two small cones.

Stains and blood. Terrible parking garage. Not what I’d expect out of a Hilton hotel for 250 dollars a night.

The room was fine. We actually got an upgrade and it was still just adequate. Not bad by any means. Just not great.

This “four star” hotel charges 30$ per day for parking and charges for wifi. No breakfast nothing. The room had a huge stain in the carpet in the middle of the floor. No gym, no pool, vending machines dont work. The hilton by the arch was three times the cost of the hotel we stayed at the next three nights five miles away. Look around I will never stay at this hilton again. Staff was very rude.

It was nice but they had to come fix the heat due to it being too cold in the room and the bed could've been a little better but beautiful hotel. Enjoyed my stay
