It can feel like the entire city of Las Vegas revolves around the Strip if you never venture beyond that neon-lit corridor. But there’s plenty to see and do once you step off Las Vegas Boulevard. You can find a taste of Old Vegas on Fremont Street, where vintage signs and showgirls crowned with headdresses recall the days of Sinatra and Martin. Beginning at dusk, a canopy of more than 12 million LED lights erupts in a psychedelic light-and-music show every hour. For an aerial view, zoom down the center of Fremont Street on a zipline.

Nature puts on its own show at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, a landscape of fiery-red sandstone formations and limestone cliffs just 17 miles outside the city. Restaurant service and where are the eggs benedict? I was at Palace Station and Casino last week for 4 days. I have good reviews and bad reviews. I know you can't expect everything to be perfect but it always has been for me at Palace Station which I have been coming to for 20 years. In my last visit I would like to commend several people. Pat in brass Fork excellent service Angie in brass Fork tremendous. L a n i in brass Fork can't be beat, Anthony in brass Fork so friendly and wonderful at his job, very welcoming, l a j i e in brass Fork wonderful, Kim in brass Fork miserable and awful waitress. Denied my request for what I wanted to eat which was definitely on the menu. All I wanted was a hamburger with mayonnaise cheese and tomato and she said I couldn't have it I had to take it the way it was prepared. Told her to go talk to the Chef because I had always gotten it that way. Came back after about 10 minutes and very begrudgingly said okay I could have it that way. When it came out there was so much mayonnaise on it that it was just dripping out of the burger and I couldn't even hold it together because it just slid around, the fries were so cold there were actually rubbery. Horrible horrible meal.

Great rates, service, good and fun ! Quick trip in and out of Vegas … I can ALWAYS count on the Palace Station to give me great rates and service ! Also good food options - excellent oyster bar and steakhouse, plus Chinese and Mexican. They also have a mini food court. Excellent service from Alissa upon check in !

Skip skip skip The only way to get rid of resort fees is to keep giving poor reviews.. huge bill upon check , ridiculous for an off strip older place.. made a mistake staying here... what exactly is " resort " to justify that huge chunk ? NOTHING....skip skip skip
