If beachfront Five-Star Villa del Palmar's stretch of soft, white sand seems too far to walk to (it isn't), you can choose to just sink into the Bali beds that surround the resort's infinity pool. Villa Del Palmar gets everything right! From the one bedroom suite, 2 bathrooms, toiletries, servicing of the room, quick responses, communication, beach view, heated pool, food, and all inclusive! Groupon, on the other hand, did not get everything right! Prior to traveling, Groupon assured me in an email that I had reserved a king bed and oceanview room! After several emails between me and Groupon, and the hotel, I only had a deluxe garden view room, and Groupon would not fulfill their word! Interestingly, I met another family that had THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH GROUPON saying one thing and providing another! I have never had a problem with Groupon prior to this and have always spoken highly about their products, especially international travel! So I am very disappointed in Groupon this time! Fortunately, the hotel, itself, assisted me in getting a one bed suite, with a king bed and an oceanview ! Luis was the best in helping with that!

Best Honeymoon Getaway we could have ever wanted all thanks to the staff! We recently stayed here for our honeymoon (May 10-17, 2025) and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The staff were all amazing and kind. They did anything and everything for you to make your stay even better. A few of the staff members really stood out to us. At the elite members pool we had the servers Benjamin & Renan. We only had Benjamin for 1 day but he was sure to say hi to us every day for our 7 day stay. We then got Renan. Renan was the best pool server we have ever had. He was so on top of everything, quick service, never left empty’s on the pool deck or on the tables for very long. Quick to deliver food and drinks. Very very friendly. Also at the elite members pool we also had Kevin & Jared who made sure that our pool spot was revered for us every morning with towels pre set. In the afternoon they would switch our towels to ensure that we always had fresh dry towels on our lounge chairs. They also passed out fruit skewers, cold towels & treats during the day. At the lobby bar that we visited nightly during our stay, we had Obet & Adrian. They made the perfect bar team. Working hand in hand. Making us unique drinks to try, and some unique shots. If you get Obet as a bar tender, be sure to ask him for shots! He will not disappoint you. Be sure to ask Adrian for his special espresso martini, it was way better than any normal espresso martini! All of the villa staff members were outstanding. But these 6 gentleman really made our stay even better than we could have asked for. Thank you Benjamin, Renan, Kevin, Jared, Obet & Adrian for making our stay oh so memorable! We will be back for sure.

Edgar Chan is the Best Part of this Place The best part of our stay was the absolutely amazing service from our poolside waiter, Edgar Chan. Yes, the location is great and the rooms are top quality, but the most valuable asset of this entire resort is Edgar Chan. My wife and I visited Villa Del Palmar for our honeymoon and if we ever come back, we'll be calling ahead to make sure our boy Edgar will be there. His professionalism, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail set the gold standard for service. Edgar's care made our visit an unforgettable experience. Seriously, give this guy a raise.

Alfredo is the best! Alfredo Farias has been very attentive and helpful during our two week stay. We will be coming back soon & will look for Alfredo as soon as we arrive. The elite section nearest the beach is in good hands with Alfredo . He always is on top of things, anticipating our needs and serving with a smile.
