While the sun’s at its highest in the sky, guests of this beachfront property can sip frosty margaritas on beach chairs, splash down a water slide that’s shaped like a giant whale, or access the swimmable beach. Visitors can also grab refreshments at one of the six restaurants or four bars at the resort or take a quick trip downtown. You can choose to purchase room-only or all-inclusive deals.

  • Spacious villa suites: have a kitchenette or full kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto private balconies with views of the Sea of Cortez or the mountains in the distance.
  • Beachfront dining: visit the new seaside steak restaurant, savor California-Italian fusion cuisine dishes at Bella California, or snack on marinated pork tacos at the Taco Bar.
  • Take a dip in the family-friendly pool with a water slide or relax by the adults only pool.

  • Spa services: Head to the sister property, Villa del Arco, to relax with a couples massage or a body treatment infused with natural ingredients. (Additional fees apply)

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico: Watersports, White-Sand Beaches, and Festive Parties

Located at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico and 10 degrees below the Tropic of Cancer, Cabo San Lucas enjoys pleasant year-round temperatures. Just south of town, the white-sand Lover’s Beach (or Playa del Amor) stretches alongside the Sea of Cortez and is frequented by sea lions, and, depending on the season, humpback whales. It’s a popular spot for snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming. Tour boats and water taxis regularly zip from Cabo to Lover’s Beach and the neighboring El Arco, an arch-shaped granite rock formation that has become Cabo’s unofficial symbol.

Surrounding the marina waterfront, downtown Cabo buzzes 24 hours a day with visitors sampling local tequilas and fresh, grilled seafood. Slip into one of the trendy restaurants near the marina to try chicharrones—fried pork rinds—and chiles en nogada—poblano chilis topped in a walnut cream sauce. The tourist district is also filled with nightclubs and cantinas catering to every kind of visitor, whether they’re looking for conga lines or jazz tunes.

Walk right on by the timeshare people and enjoy the resort ! Pools were ample and only crowded during peak hours (there are 2 large ones , a kiddie pool , and an almost ocean front). You can also walk down to the beach for a private section with lounging chairs and umbrellas (full service with waiters) . We didn’t eat at any of the restaurants because the main town is 10 minutes away and ubers are cheap . The suite has a 2 burner kitchenette and is fully stocked with pots, pans, containers, cups, utensils and standard appliances . Front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice ! Walmart and other grocery stores are right around the corner for your everyday needs . Just be mindful quite hours start at 10pm .

Thumbs Down on Villa del Palmar Cabo! This was one of the worst “resorts” we have ever stayed. First: it calls itself a “beach resort and spa” and shows wide pictures of beach on website. There is NO beach at this resort. None. “They” say you can go to their other properties for the beach but it was all roped off with no access AND there are NO chairs/umbrellas at all. Second: we booked July 2025. Arrived October, in our one bedroom apartment that we paid full price - directly over looking a multi-acre site for a new pool. No less than 100 laborers working from very early morning (7:00 a.m.) until the wee hours at night (3:00 a.m.) Sand blasting, grinding, hammering - - hard manual labor - - but all during our 5 day trip with no accommodation. Third: three of the four nights of entertainment at the dinner buffet consisted of a movie of a live Broadway play which you could watch on any pay-per-view station (Lion King?! Michael Jackson?!) We enjoyed one live performance of authentic Mexican dance that was show-worthy. Unfortunately, it was interrupted by restaurant manager telling me credit wasn’t covered(?). It was with a card on file. All so disappointing. We will never return. We will actively discourage others

Lots to be desired Im sure it’ll look great after construction is completed but I was told multiple times leading up to my stay that I wouldn’t need to move to a sister resort as it would be completed. Paid full price for half a resort and they do nothing to accommodate you. Tons of bugs in the pool with staff not listening to concerns. Trying to make the best out of a bad situation. Would not look to stay here again.
