Everything was great! The balcony had a spiral staircase down to the pool area. There were Bose speakers in the bathroom that you controlled viz a Bluetooth connection in the mirror! The rain shower was so luxurious and the room service was affordable and prompt! We had a great time!

Ann Arbor, Michigan: Family-Friendly College Town

Ann Arbor lies along both sides of the Huron River, with a landscape that includes fragrant cherry orchards and a charming downtown area lined with Victorian-era buildings. The picture-perfect setting has earned the town a string of superlatives from blogs and magazines: Fodor’s and Travel + Leisure both touted Ann Arbor’s Main Street as one of the country’s best, citing its pedestrian-friendly layout, little boutiques, and farm-to-table restaurants.

The city’s biggest claim to fame is the University of Michigan, one of the country’s top public universities. In autumn, football fans pack Michigan Stadium to cheer on the Wolverines, and throughout the year, the school’s Museum of Art and Kelsey Museum of Archaeology hold a host of intriguing exhibits. And as in any good college town, independent bookstores abound—there were more than 30 at last count.

Ann Arbor is especially well-suited for family getaways. Kids can learn about science and the environment at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, which is housed in an old fire station. They can also pet and feed a variety of farm animals, including goats, sheep, and llamas, at The Petting Farm.

Unique Unique, sort of category busting place. Steak and scotch supper club vibe at very good restaurant where you’d expect to see Don Draper from Mad Men during one of his cool cat assignations. Attached hotel a bit uneven but clean and adequate. Beds comfy but air conditioning very loud making bed vibrate but not in a good way. Complex shower presented puzzle you can solve while standing naked in bathroom and a blue tooth mirror we didn’t use. Folks at front desk friendly. Overall a fun quirky experience

Great Experience. Made our football game weekend easy and enjoyable thanks for the fabulous weekend experience: from front desk, to restaurant to housekeeping including fun late night entertainment in the Habitat, everyone treated us kindly and with respect. staff was helpful with suggestions and helping coordinate game day and area touristy info. We visited for the UT game (big win!!) and had a great time enjoying Ann Arbor and the Big House... the jazz in bar topped it off as we celebrated the Win. attentive food service for delicious dinner and scrumptious breakfasts made the stay convenient. too bad we didn't get to enjoy the indoor pool/work out rooms. nicely renovated rooms with all the creature comforts: comfy beds with luxurious linens, multi headed spa showers, bidet and even great a/v in the bathroom mirrors! We know where we will stay on our next visit. Hook Em

A Great Place for our Reunion The recent renovations have rendered an upscale modern hotel out of this Ann Arbor institution. From the lobby to the function spaces and the guest floors, its a leap of 1 to 2 stars over my last visit. Staff was helpful and smart, too. The dining room and bar are first-class, old school and the menu, while limited, provides excellent choices and great service. Having been there many times before (including college decades ago!) I was pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful stay.
