The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants and extravagant buffets overflowing with crab legs and prime rib.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, or head to Fashion Show Las Vegas to browse racks at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks, thanks to the Strip’s re-creation of the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and Venetian canals. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

Dog poo under bed !!! Me and my friend booked for 9 nights at the beginning of June for the Celtic convention. We found DOG POO under our bed on day 6. 6 nights we slept there with dog poo under us. Our room was serviced twice in these 6 days so surely it should’ve been spotted. Given we our young girls in our twenties when we complained we were give a room upgrade (useless when were In Las Vegas we don’t care what the room looks like) the view from the room was actually a downgrade!! We were given $50 behind the bar which equates to 2 drinks. We thought it over and came to decision this was not good enough for having dog poo in our room. We were then offered $100 off our $659 we paid on arrival. ($300 of which was a deposit we were not told about) I contacted our travel agents and surprisingly before we checked out we received a full refund of $659!! Brilliant we Thought until I arrived home and 2 days later $359 was taken from my account. This is what the resort fees cost us so after refunding us the amount they went into my bank and took the money as a delayed transaction. At no point was I charged $359 it was $659 at check in so that is how we came to the conclusion the deposit was $300. I am so disappointed as we came to the Celtic convention and had such a good time but the hotel has completely ruined the experience I have emailed and called multiple times to no avail so unfortunately leaving a review is the last resort. My bank is still - $359 2 weeks after checking out. DO NOT STAY OR IF YOU DO MAKE SURE YOU CHECK FOR DOG POO UNDER YOUR BED

Want to be disappointed, disrespected and ripped off. Stay at the Westgate I was VERY disappointed with my recent stay at the Westgate Resort & Casino. I was attracted to stay there because of the low room price. However, on arrival I was charged an extra $300 amenities fee, of which, only $100 was refundable. What a SCAM!!! Charge a PRE PAY low price for the room and pay an extra $200 when you get there. If you say I'm not going to stay here they keep the PRE PAY amount as well. The staff were also a disappointment, they were a mix of most helpful to very discourteous. When I arrived the valet was helpful until he found out I wanted to self park, Then he refused to tell me where the self park garage was and just pointed to a sign. As a guest at the hotel I expected to park at a reduced rate of for free. No such luck! The hotel nickel dimed another $45 for the privilege. When I finally got into the room I was disappointed to find that it was not as well appointed as other in which I have stayed. Most hotel rooms not have a small coffee maker in the room so you do not have to get dressed and get that all important first cup. The Westgate charges $5 for a cup of their regular coffee just outside of the casino. There was also no microwave in the room which room which is also standard in most hotels these days. There was a refrigerator in the room, (I guess it's there so the overpriced beverages sold in the many gift shops throughout the resort can be kept cold). The next disappointment came when I tried to take a shower the next morning and wound up standing in a foot and one half of water. The bathtub drain was plugged. (The resort did fix that sometime during the day while I was out). I had signed up for a Grand Canyon tour which left from the Sahara Resort the next day. The Sarhara is located several blocks away from the Westgate. The tour leaves at 5 AM but no one on the staff of the Westgate could tell me how to get there. There advice was, "You'll have to take a taxi." I will admit that taxi got me there in three minutes but I could have easily walked that distance in 10 minutes if someone on the staff of the Westgate pointed me in the right direction. On the positive side the room was very clean, comfortable, and cool in which to sleep.

Mr Westgate Jose Romero Moreno “Mr Westgate,” Jose Romero Moreno, is an enthusiastic and fun ambassador for the hotel and its history. I walked in on a quiet weekday afternoon. He greeted me and gave me stories about the hotel and now every time I go, I make sure to visit him.
