3 out of 5 I rate this resort as okay, a 3 out of 5. The location was convenient as we were near restaurants and stores but no shuttles were offered to the parks. There were a lot of small things that added up to be annoying for being on vacation. Some of the annoyances included one of the elevators being down in our bldg which meant 1 elevator for over 130 rooms. There was no hand soap in the room, not enough coffee or toilet paper for a week and no ironing board. There was no maid service - only for those who stay more than 2 weeks. The blow dryer was so sticky no one wanted to touch it. None of the pool bars were open except for the main pool where you had to pay $25.00 for access. The room was nice and comfortable and clean but you could hear everything going on in the room next door due to very thin doors and walls. When I booked my room the confirmation showed a room rate of $132 which would've totaled almost $800 but my total came to over $1033.04 with all of the extra fees which was only confirmed upon check in that there are "Resort Fees". I mentioned this to concierge that my confirmation should've showed my actual total. This resort was good for the amount of money spent.

Westgate Town Center challenges The resort looks nice, the 1 bedroom (grand) was spacious, and jacuzzi tub was a wonderful amenity. However, we would not return or recommend the resort to others due to multiple challenges from the moment we walked in. No tv remotes, missing curtains in the bedroom with full exposure to streams people walking by our first floor room. Took 3 calls to the front desk and several hours to get taken care of. Beat up, ripped furniture in a “remodeled room.” The microwave and dishwasher both very rusty and beat up inside. Two restaurants advertised on the website had both obviously been closed for some time. Paper thin walls so we could hear neighbors talking and playing loud music until 4:30 am, and housekeeping banging dishes and furniture and calling back and forth to one another in the morning! Non stop streams of people coming from the water park (which is open to people not staying at the resort) and looking in our windows. Rowdy teenagers getting into shouting matches right off our patio at 11pm every night…not addressed by hotel staff or parents. Cattle car treatment when arriving at check in, and if you don’t agree to the “free breakfast” (timeshare presentation) the rep doesn’t hand over the resort welcome packet you’re told to go retrieve (as an excuse to try to sell you the free meal). So we didn’t have information regarding any of the available amenities or activities. It’s rare we’ve had such a negative experience at a “resort.”

So many better options in Orlando. Checked in yesterday. We had one request - "pool view and easy access to pool, with a 2 year old in tow.". They put me in the 6200 building, LITERALLY driving distance to a pool. Tell me "you can see the pool across the street ". See below. You can see a building. Ask for a different room, even offer to take a downgrade. They tell me they are at capacity, and nothing they can do. Meanwhile, our parking lot is virtually empty, many rooms are black and clearly empty. But of course they put us in a room next to someone with a sound system. Walls literally rattling as we get into our room. Paper thin walls. If they are cooking, you will know what they are making. Walls don't trap sound, nor do they trap odors. Of course they don't enforce noise complaints until later hours. Update. 3 nights in a row had to call for security due to a domestic battle in the room next door. Last night, 3 calls alone, as late as 2 am. We watched security come up to their door, then just turn around and walk off. Did nothing. Property could care less of the inconvenience on myself and my family. Won't ever waste my time or money here again. Can get so much more for the money here in Orlando. Location... Sucks.

Westgate Town Center has greatly declined! The resort was once a beautiful, well maintained and service friendly vacation spot. We own many weeks, but our disappointment grows! Bars/restaurants are never open. Elevators are not maintained. This trip was not great and is the trend!
