We showed up to check-in and we had NO reservation! It was pre-paid through Groupon. No phone number to contact, chat told me they would escalate but it would be a week! But wait! I’m standing at the front desk! I finally get an email and it said they are waiting for an approval because I’m requesting a refund after the cancellation period! What?! Hotel is great, Groupon horrible!

Worst pre cruise hotel I’ve ever stayed at! To start with we pulled into the parking deck, and there was no signage directing us where to park to get into the hotel so we kept driving up. There was still no signage about where the hotel doors were located. We got up to the top of the parking deck and saw a white metal box that stated only park at your own risk. I got out of the car, opened the box door and saw that it was a bunch of stairs leading down. My wife had just had back surgery so we were looking for an elevator. Were there any signs of an elevator of course not so I called the number waited a few minutes talk to somebody who told us there was no elevator in the parking garage to get to the hotel so we got back in the car drove down to the first floor. Fortunately someone had left at that point and we were able to get a spot on the first floor accessible to the entrance to the hotel. I talked with the manager about possibly adding some signage so that people were clear that the further up they drove the more steps they were going to have to use to get back down. She seemed To be politely interested in what I had to share with her but also that she was very busy doing other work related things. next I went up to the room and noticed the floors were dirty because they were sticky so I started grabbing towels, wetting them, and mopping my own floors, and yes, the the floors were filthy. I took one of the towels down to the front desk, where the front desk attendant assured me that he did not want it and I told him I wasn’t taking the dirty towel back to my room so he picked up a trashcan and I put it in the trash but what I really wanted was a resolution to how filthy my floors were. He said he would send some one up right now to clean them. Within minutes, there was a housekeeper at the door and she showed me that the floor was still damp because she had mopped and I explained to her that the floors were still damp because I just mopped them all, and I showed her the other dirty towels that I still had and said I need some clean towels now for the room, but that the floors were now clean she left and never brought back any clean towels for our room. The room also is dark. There are no pictures on the walls. It is just white paint, some paneling and a couple of lamps all for the jacked up cruise price!

Not the greatest! Location was not the best. Cleanliness needed some dire attention. While is does have parking, if you have a need for larger vehicle parking, it is a space on the back of the building on a side street that did not seem very secure at all.

Bait and switch pricing We attempted to book this hotel for a one-night stay before flying out of Fort Lauderdale airport for a vacation to Jamaica. I used the Wyndham app to make the reservation for what I THOUGHT was $172/night. All the way through the booking process, it repeated the price as $172 ($154 plus taxes and fees). When I received the email confirmation, the price was $363! I thought that I had accidentally reserved two rooms but I checked and it was for one room. I called customer service and the representative assured me the price was $172 and told me she would cancel my reservation and rebook the room at the stated price. Again, I was charged $363. Apparently, the price had increased during the time it took me to complete the reservation on my phone (less than five minutes) and that was what I was going to be charged. We were literally only going to sleep at the hotel—our flight to fort Lauderdale got in late and our flight out the next morning was early. I didn’t want to pay almost $400 for a few hours. It took getting a supervisor on the phone to finally cancel and refund my reservation. It was a long call that did not seem at all necessary. Be careful if you book here. Make sure your confirmation price matches what you expected to pay.
