Houston, Texas: Space History and Museums in Nation’s Fourth-Largest City

As the nation’s fourth-largest city by population, Houston has established itself as one of the Gulf Coast’s most thriving cultural hubs. The city’s museum district has 19 museums covering everything from history to art to science. For art lovers, the Menil Collection—which Frommer’s calls “one of the great private collections of the world”—is a must-see. Here, you’ll browse an array of 20th-century art from Jasper Johns, René Magritte, and Andy Warhol, as well as artifacts from Africa and the Pacific Islands.

You could also spend an entire day exploring Houston’s science institutions. When Apollo 13 astronaut Jim Lovell famously stated, “Houston, we have a problem,” he was talking to mission control at Space Center Houston. Here, visitors can tour the historic mission-control room and get a behind-the-scenes look at astronauts training for the International Space Station. Along Houston’s Hermann Park, The Health Museum exhibits a large-scale human body that you can enter to learn about how your organs operate.

The worst customer service ever!!!!!! I have been always a customer of this location and I do all business trips from Dubai to here but no more!! ”Jimmy” the manager he has no customer experience at all! I checked in this time for vacation for 5 nights and they said due to COVID we won't refresh your room until the 4th morning, I was disappointed but I understood the fact behind it, anyways I get in the room there were only two big towels nothing else! I don't really know who they want us to use the same two big towels for 4 days?! I requested from the lobby the second day to send us extra towels and they ignored me and the third day I called and spoke to ”Jimmy” the manager and he was so rude and disrespectful and very unprofessional because keep yelling at me and cutting me off before finishing my sentence and kept repeating the same thing by saying he will try his best to get me the towels but no guarantee, then from nowhere, he said you can go and talk to the corporate If you are not satisfied with me?!!! I mean what manager are you for not taking care of your guest and immediately directed me to corporate?! I’m 100% of phones are recorded and I hope someone will listen to it! However, he said if the towels don't get to your room today then tomorrow will do! I waited on my 4th day for the towels and no one came and it’s after 1 pm I had to call customer care and spoke to “Sam” and explained to him what happened and he called the front desk in the same time and spoke to a manager lower than “Jimmy” and she argued with the CC agent for not having the power to do it then she used her walkie-talkie to page housekeeper to room send a couple of towels to our room!!!! I mean the worst of the worst!!!!!! I can not believe how silly the request was and how big a deal they made it and no action was taken to take care of their customer!! I will never come back and they have never been like this before! very!

Claiming to be something it's not This hotel says 4 star, I've stayed at better 2 star hotels, its awful. Really dirty, the outside is very ugly. The shower was rusted, trash on the floor, the bed was old and springy, everything just looks grimy. People were smoking weed and the hallways smell like it, a man was selling food plates in the parking lot and someone almost hit my car in the parking lot and yelled at me. I never use the derogatory word "ghetto" ...but? I cant wait to leave.
