Sevierville, Tennessee: Family-Friendly Fun in the Great Smoky Mountains

Sevierville is a scenic day trip away from such attractions as Gatlinburg’s museums and live shows and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In town, families can visit RainForest Adventures Discovery Zoo to see rare cotton-top tamarin monkeys, african crested porcupines, and other rainforest animals.

A bronze statue of Sevierville native Dolly Parton presides over the downtown area, which features a century-old courthouse and old-fashioned wedding chapels. But this is far from the only Dolly-inspired attraction in the area—drive about 10 minutes south of Sevierville to zoom down amusement-park rides and water slides at Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country in Pigeon Forge.

Disappointed Been coming here for 5 years, always loved Wyndham smokey mountains. I knew this year would be different due to covid but once the restrictions were lifted I felt safe coming here since we know Wyndham prides itself on being clean and we'll kept. I was informed that activities and amenities are limited due to social distancing which I understand. Checked in on Sat 6/26 in building 31 The place looks run down. Condo looking dated. Pulls and stains in carpet. Unstained wood filler in the bathroom vanity and kitchen cabinets. Place needs an overhaul. No baking pans in oven and patio needs power washing. I had to call the desk for dishwashing soap and some kitchen towels. Both used to be in the room. The activities are nonexistent. One activity on Sat and Sunday Bingo and on Mon and Friday you can paint a wine bottle. The club house has nothing. The game room has 5 video games 3 are broke. They have 2 pool tables and a ping pong table, foosball table broke air hockey broke. No working vending machines. An overgrown mini golf that we couldn't play because they had no golf balls. The pool was cloudy and in need of skimming. Around the pool was overflowing trash and butt can. Overall it's in need of an update. I know staff is short but hire some temps since the skeleton crew that's there can't do it all. Very disappointed and wouldn't book here again. If they aren't cleaning the property I know they can't be sanitizing anything. Do yourself a favor and pick another resort this one has gone down hill.

Amazing as always We love this property. Was in town for a long weekend over fathers day. Stayed in a 2bedroom, in building 25. Awesome views from the balcony. Very quiet inside the unit. Clean, well stocked and updated. Very comfy beds. Close to a ton of attractions, but far enough that it's not crazy crowded.

Fun Place in the Smokies The staff and people at the resort made this a memorable vacation! My Great Granddaughter had so much fun at the pools and splash pad! Our room was exceptional nice, because when we got there found out we had been upgraded to two bedrooms deluxe! This resort is awesome and my favorite resort in the Smokies!!
