Woodstock, Vermont: Classic New England Town Close to Skiing and Hiking

Picture a postcard of the classic New England town with old churches and white houses and it will look a lot like Woodstock, Vermont. The tiny town of just over 3,000 people pulls in visitors year-round. Woodstock village itself is adorable, with several boutiques and restaurants, and you’ll be within a quick drive of Marsh-Billings/Rockefeller National Historic Park, the Killington Ski Resort, and the Suicide Six Ski Resort. Visit famous nearby Sugarbush Farm to visit the animals and pick up pure Vermont maple syrup and waxed cheddar cheese, or go hiking up the Faulkner Trail on Mount Tom for stunning views of the Woodstock area. The forested setting is popular in fall for leaf-peeping, too.
