Your fine print states you must have a valid passport. My understanding to enter the US Virgin Islands from the states you do not need a passport. Is this Cheap Caribbean rule?

Passports are not required for travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands for U.S. Citizens, but are highly recommended due to heightened security at airport check- in and immigration. U.S. Citizens are permitted to travel with a valid government issued photo ID in addition to a US birth certificate. If you do not have a passport or are not an American citizen, please contact your airline or your local consulate or embassy in regards to travel documentation necessary for your vacation.
