Five-City Tour of China
On this 12-day tour, you’ll get a chance to explore five of China’s most storied cities—Beijing, Xi’an, Suzhou, Hangzhou, and Shanghai. Trip Highlights by City
Beijing (Days 2–4)
- Hike along the Great Wall of China at the Ju Yong Pass, a hilly section of the wall with great views of the surrounding countryside.
- Observe giant pandas and other endemic species at the Beijing Zoo.<p>
Xi’an (Days 5–6)
- Visit Xi’an’s ancient city wall, which dates back to the 14th century.
- Take a tour of emperor Qin Shi Huang’s army of terra cotta warriors and horses, built to protect the emperor in the afterlife.<p>
Suzhou (Days 7–8)
- Known as the “Venice of the East,” Suzhou has many ancient canals, stone bridges, and alleyways that you’ll explore as a group.
- Stop at a silk-spinning factory to learn more about China’s long history of using that fabric.<p>
Hangzhou (Day 9)
- A tranquil boat ride brings you to willow-draped islands and the Su Causeway, which was built in 1090 to link the southern and northern mountains.

Shanghai (Days 10–12)
