Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

Hi, Do you have availability for Oct 25th night? I fly into Providence and have a day to spare - so was thinking if I could get to Jackson the same day, spend the night and get back the next evening into Boston. How long is the drive?

Q:

we would like to stay on Nov 10th and 11th.if we purchase two groupons can one be applied each day or only on sunday.if so how will we be charged for sunday.party will include two adults and a child just turned thirteen.

anne m.  asked on  Oct 12, 2012

A:

Hi Anne. The Groupon voucher does not apply for Saturday, November 10th. Please call our reservations, and we will work something out with you. Also, the voucher and / or the room rate includes two adults. An extra $10.00 per night would apply for each extra adult that can sleep in the beds provided in the room - to the legal maximum occupancy. This basically covers breakfast. A person 13 and older is considered an adult, therefore, an extra $10.00 per night would apply in your case. Thanks.

Gary P.  from  Merchant  replied on  Oct 12, 2012

A:

This Groupon is only valid for check-in Sunday–Thursday, so you would need to pay the regular rate for Saturday night, and can use a Groupon for Sunday night. I hope this helps!

Q:

if i buy a groupon for 1 night and want to use a gift card for a second night, what would the cost be? from joepet

Joseph P.  asked on  Oct 10, 2012

A:

Hi Joseph. We would accept the value of valid gift card for the second night at the same rate as the Groupon voucher, as long as it does not fall on a weekend or blackout date. If it does fall on a weekend or blackout date, then the published rates on our website would apply. We would apply the value of a valid gift card to the 2nd night. It is a little unconventional...but what the hey! I recommend that you first contact our reservations department to discuss the source of the gift voucher and availability. Thanks for asking!

Q:

Also, I understand that breakfast is included. Do you have a 'meal option' for the other meals (once there) - or is it strictly eating at the onsite pub? Thanks again, JCZ

Jean Z.  asked on  Oct 10, 2012

A:

Hi Jean. We have a restaurant and a pub. You can choose to eat in either. The restaurant menu is available in the pub. Also, you have a choice of pre-paying $35.00 for a MAP Dinner Voucher per person, which entitles you to a 3 course meal. Otherwise, just come into our restaurant and pub and order off the menu. We do recommend that you make advance reservations. Enjoy!

Q:

Hello, I would like to buy this deal, but since this will be a romantic getaway, I would like to choose a room that provides a more quiet atmosphere. Can you tell me which of the room choices would be my best option? I adore kids, but mine are all grown now - and it's time for some R&R when I get away to a wonderful place like this now. Thank you. JCZ

Jean Z.  asked on  Oct 10, 2012

A:

Hi Jean. I'm with you...! I would recommend a Carriage House Suite or one of our Cottages. Have fun!

Q:

I do not carry major credit cards. I gave them up a few years ago. Makes life simpler. I buy everything I need with a debit card or cash. What can be used in leiu of a credit card? Can a family mamber call in a credit card number? I want to buy this deal. I have stayed there many years ago and haven't had the opportunity to return. I love this inn. I'd hate to think that people who choose not to carry a credit card would not be allowed as a guest.

joseph s.  asked on  Oct 9, 2012

A:

Currently, our system accepts major credit or debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Unfortunately we are unable to accept other forms of payment at this time.

If you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Service Department by clicking here.

Brette V.  from  Groupon  replied on  Oct 9, 2012

A:

Thank you for the compliment! We would love you have you come back! With Groupon, you are only responsible for paying the taxes on your stay with us. The taxes can be paid over the phone by a credit or debit card, as long as it holds a Visa or Mastercard logo. At the time of your check in you can choose to pay with cash instead of using your debit card. At that time we would just refund the money back onto your debit card. Once you purchase your Groupon, you can call us directly and book your reservation.

Q:

Sounds really nice. Me, my parents and my 11 year old twins would love to come up for one night on 10/21. We love the foliage and are looking for a rustic room with a nice view and a fireplace ( a loft would be a plus too). Is a room like this available? If so, what option would you suggest? We are really just looking for the whole New England, rustic surroundings with beautiful view experience. Thank you!

Sherry R.  asked on  Oct 8, 2012

A:

Hi Sherry. View will vary from every room. It sounds like either one of our Barn loft rooms, the Log Cabin or one of our two bedroom cottages will take care of your needs. The cottages and Log Cabin have a fire place, the barn rooms do not, but offer a lot of space.

Q:

I am thinking of buying this Groupon as a gift for my parents. They would have to fly in because we live out of state. I will be booking for late in the year or early next year so there will be snow on the ground. How are the roads from the nearest airport to there late December or early in the year? They would have to drive to you from the airport. They are not used to driving in harsh conditions. We live in the south! :)

Ceann G.  asked on  Oct 8, 2012

A:

Hi Ceann. To some degree, we are all subject to the whims of mother nature. However, we are very used to winter weather up here in New England, and the roads are normally kept clean of snow with plowing, and the transportation department will sand and salt if necessary. Big and small storms are managed very well in these parts. The nearest airports are Portland, Me. and Manchester, NH.

Q:

I am always confused the way the getaway deals are priced. If we are a family of 4, 2 adults, 1 child who is 12 and another who is 8, do I assume that the total charge per night would be 119.00 + tax for all 4 of us? (109 for the 2 adults and 10 for the 12 year old child with the 8 year old being free) The 109 is not PER ADULT, correct??

joseph s.  asked on  Oct 8, 2012

A:

Hi Joseph. In this scenario, all of you stay for $109 plus 9% tax, as long as a room is available that can accommodate all of you. We suggest a room with two queen beds. Please speak to our reservations for more details.

Q:

Hi, do kids stay free on this deal? We have two, ages 4 and 7. We are looking at option 2. If so, is breakfast included for the 4 of us? Thanks!

Ron S.  asked on  Oct 7, 2012

A:

Hi Ron. Yes, breakfast is included for children 12 and under, and two adults. You all can help yourself to the cold buffet of freshly baked treats, cereal, fruit and yogurt, and also order a hot entree from the menu. It's yummy!

Q:

Hi! I am 20, but I would love to buy this groupon! Is it possible to check-in/stay without the wine, since I'm under 21, or do I have to be 21 to check in at all?

Cassandra D.  asked on  Oct 5, 2012

A:

In order to check in you must be 21.
