Romantic and Pet-Friendly Inn on a Lake amid White Mountains
Perched on the ridge of Tenney Mountain, strewn with colorful wildflowers and overlooking New Hampshire's Newfound Lake, Coppertoppe Inn and Retreat Center offers an idyllic setting for a romantic getaway for two or a family vacation with the dog. The bed and breakfast's grounds boast two frog ponds and picturesque arbors inviting walks along tree-lined roads. You can also walk or drive to Newfound Lake to hike. Back at the inn, you can take part in cooking and gardening classes, make crafts, and play musical instruments.
As part of the deal, you get the choice of a romance package or a pet package. The romance package treats couples to a bouquet of flowers, plus chocolates and nonalcoholic beverages. Meanwhile, with the pet package, you can learn how to make homemade dog treats in a cooking class. The inn's owners have experience accommodating special diets for all types of pets. In addition, you can enjoy 20% off lessons at College for Pets, a nearby facility that offers classes and private training to help teach obedience, tricks, and more.
The elegant guest rooms and suites feature mahogany floors, lots of sunlight, and views of Newfound Lake and the surrounding mountains. You can snuggle on a king-size bed topped with down pillows or, if you have allergies, reserve hypoallergenic bedding from the inn’s “pillow library.”
In the morning, pre-ordered custom-made breakfasts may include baked oatmeal, pancakes, french toast, or vegan goods. If you have a special dietary restriction or request, the innkeepers will go out of their way to accommodate it. Coppertoppe participates in a CSA farm share and is proud to provide meats, eggs, and produce from locally provided sources, as well as herbs from its own garden.
