Q:

Can I reserve a room before buying the groupon? Or do I need to buy the groupon, and then make reservations?

Ruthie M.  asked on  Apr 18, 2013

A:

Hello again Ruthie! Because we take our bookings on a "first come first served" basis you can't actually reserve a room before you buy your Groupon. But you can call us before you buy to check on availability for the the dates and rooms you are interested in, and we will be happy to help.

Q:

Hi! My husband and I are looking to get away memorial day weekend / our anniversary, we would be wanting to check in 5/25 and out 5/27 - would the room with the whirlpool be available for these dates? Also would there be an added charge, and if so how much extra? Thanks in advance!

Megan W.  asked on  Apr 17, 2013

A:

Hello Megan. Thanks for thinking of the Deerhill Inn for your Getaway, but I am afraid Memorial Weekend is a "blackout" period for our Groupon so we can't help with rooms for the nights of May 25th and 26th. Most of our Enhanced Rooms have whirlpools or jetted tubs, though, so if you bought a Weekend Enhanced Groupon and had some flexibility with the dates of your visit, I'm sure we would be able to help!

Q:

I see there is one dinner entre included in this groupon. Is it REQUIRED that we eat at the Deerhill Inn Restaurant? Or can we just pass if we want to, and eat somewhere else in town?

Ruthie M.  asked on  Apr 18, 2013

A:

Hi Ruthie. No, you certainly don't have to dine at the Deerhill Inn Restaurant if you would rather not. We think you'll enjoy it if you do - the food is great and the view of the Mountains is wonderful! But if you prefer something else we are always happy to help with suggestions. Just so you know, though, there is no reduction in the price of the Groupon if you don't use your Dining Credit.

Q:

If I were to buy the Thursday-Saturday checkin day package, that means we would be able to stay Friday and Saturday night and check out Sunday right?

Rene Q.  asked on  Apr 17, 2013

A:

That's quite right, Rene. The Thursday-Saturday check-in Package allows you to check-in on Thursday, Friday or Saturday and stay two nights. So if you checked-in on Friday, you could stay for Friday and Saturday nights and check-out on Sunday morning. Let us know if you need any more information!

Q:

Can 3 people stay in the room?

tracy  asked on  Apr 16, 2013

A:

Hi Tracy. We have one room that can sleep three people. The White Pine Suite has a King bed and a pull-out queen-size sofa bed. so it can sleep three or four in total. For each extra person in the room we charge $35.00 a night, to cover housekeeping and breakfast costs, and as it is a Suite you would need to buy an Enhanced Groupon. Whether there are two, three or four people in the room, with the Groupon package you would only qualify for one free entree, though. Let me know if we can help further.

Q:

I purchased a deal recently which detailed a room with a regular rate of $409 per night for 179$ per night. Although I enjoyed my stay at this Vermont Inn, the room we were given was at best a $79 per night room. No one who is an experienced traveler would have paid $409 for this room. I questioned the desk clerk and she gave a very vague answer as to what the regular rate of this particular room was and the reply was "it depends". Is there anyway to know that you are getting a real value -- I am now skeptical of the deals shown on Groupon

constance m.  asked on  Apr 13, 2013

A:

Hello Constance. Although you stayed at a different Vermont property and not at Deerhill Inn, I 'm sorry you had a less-than-perfect experience. I hope - and believe - that if you stay with us at Deerhill Inn you'll feel you got full value for your money. If you - or any other prospective purchaser - would like details of our regular pricing so that you can compare this with the Groupon deal there are two easy ways to find this. You can visit our website at http://www.deerhillinn.com/rooms.htm. There you will find pictures of our rooms, a description of the amenities included in the price, and details of our regular and seasonal rates. All our room prices - and our Groupons - also include a full country breakfast cooked to order every day of your stay, afternoon refreshments and free Wifi throughout the Inn. If you have a specific question or would like more details, you are very welcome to call us at the Inn on 802-464-3100 to talk about our rates and our accommodation. We do believe our Groupon deal offers great value for money, but we are always happy to chat with anyone who would like more details! Kind regards, Ariane

Q:

I would like to purchase a package for my parent's anniversary. If I choose the Thursday to Sunday package option (which is a little bit more cost)…..are they able to choose days Monday thru Wednesday if they want? Or, could they do a Sunday night/ Monday night? Thanks, Lauren

Lauren M.  asked on  Apr 11, 2013

A:

Hello Lauren. We would be pleased to have your parents stay with us for their Anniversary! If you buy a "Thursday to Sunday" package for them - which, as you say, costs a little more - they can use it for any two nights of the week they prefer, including Sunday night and Monday night. You just have to decide which kind of room you prefer for them - an Enhanced Room with extra amenities, or a Garden Room with lovely decks leading into the Deerhill Inn gardens. We hope to see them soon!

Q:

I saw that this deal is not valid from 6/20 - 6/23. Does this mean that my wife and I would have to check in Monday 6/24 for the 2 night stay option or could we check in on the Sunday (6/23)?

Nathan S.  asked on  Apr 10, 2013

A:

Hi Nathan, thanks for your interest in Deerhill Inn. For a two-night stay at the time in June you want to visit, you will need to check-in on Monday, June 24th as the Groupon offer is not available for the night of Sunday, June 23rd. Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions we can help with.

Q:

I see that the stay is for two nights only, can additional nights be requested?

Karen M.  asked on  Apr 10, 2013

A:

Hello Karen - thank you for considering our Groupon! Additional nights can certainly be arranged. First of all, you can buy up to two Groupons for a four-night stay. Or, if you want only a single additional night (or for that matter a room upgrade) contact us on 802 464 3100 and we may be able to arrange this for you.
