Hello Hilary, it is best if you call to check availability for a date if you are limited on the dates you can travel. We can't really provide availability in the forum, since it is quite possible that we would indicated availability...then by the time you call to reserve your room, the dates are no longer available. Do you have handicapped equipped rooms?

Hello Ilene, while the public areas are handicap accessible, the only room that can accommodate a wheelchair (comfortably) would be the Washington Suite. So it would be advisable to request that suite at the time of your reservation. Hello Kelly, the weekends of May 3rd, 10th and 24th still have availability where the room with two Queens is available. The weekend of May 17th is sold out. Hello again Kelly, I just talked to the Inn and it looks there are weddings almost every weekend in May. I’m not sure that would be the best time to go. May is the only month where weddings dominate the Inn, so you might want to consider April or June.

I was wondering if you have King size beds and could I request one when I make my reservation. Would it be guaranteed?

A:

Hello Donna, while most of the rooms at the inn are furnished with Queen beds, there is one cottage that offers a King. This is a two-room cottage and is an upgrade. You could use your Groupon voucher toward the upgrade, and the overall discount would still apply…but there would be an extra fee to guarantee the cottage over one of the Queen-size rooms. Please call 800-390-3292 to inquire about the upgrade pricing, since it is dependent upon the dates you choose.

What if the 2nd person doesn't want to be part of the Sous chef time. Is there any discount for the 2nd person?

Hello Wanda, while this package is already substantially discounted, we can investigate the non-participant option. However, most meals are included in this package…and one of those meals is part of the sous-chef experience. It would be best to call one of our Culinary Travel Specialists at 800-390-3292 and ask for their advice on this. We’ll do our best to accommodate most situations.

Hello Kelly, we try to make the experience fit your schedule as much as possible. This is not just a two-night stay in a lovely inn, it is a full hands-on cooking experience with the chef. So we do have to check availability before providing a final confirmation. However, with that said, regardless of the dates you choose, activities usually begin in the late afternoon/early evening on the day of arrival, and conclude on the morning of your departure. Over 90% of our guests have been able to get the dates that they preferred, and we design the itinerary around your arrival and departure.

Can two vouchers be used for two people staying in the same room?

Hi Mariana, yes…that is exactly what you need to do. The rate is based on double occupancy, so each person needs to purchase a Groupon, even if you are staying in the same room. One person can purchase two Groupons as well, then you would redeem them when making your reservation with Epitourean. Do you need a vehicle? Which airport should we fly into?

Hello Cheryl, yes you would need a vehicle. While all of your activities would be at the Inn, with the exception of the wine tour, you are responsible for getting to the Inn. Most people would either fly into Richmond, VA or Washington, DC. Of course it is difficult to make a suggestion without knowing where you are flying from.
