Resort at a Glance: Fremont Jellystone Park

Fremont Jellystone Park was designed with the active family in mind. At this sprawling campground, you can make crafts in the arts-and-crafts center, explore nature trails, frolic on three playgrounds, or rent a pontoon boat to cruise nearby Partridge Lake. In the sports arena, play a game of tetherball, basketball, shuffleboard, or volleyball. Cool off with a ride down the 300-foot water slide that deposits riders in the swimming pool.

  • Cabin amenities: Rustic cabins come with covered porches, heat, air conditioning, and electricity. Outside your cabin, you can cuddle up around the fire pit or enjoy a meal alfresco on the picnic table.
  • Go for a swim in the outdoor pool or kiddie pool, open through Labor Day.
  • Tee off on the 18-hole mini-golf course or challenge your family to a game of horseshoes.
  • Rent a golf cart to tool around the expansive campground.
  • Head to the general store to stock up on groceries and camping supplies.
  • Go fishing: You can catch-and-release fish at the onsite Jellystone Pond or head to Partridge Lake to fish for bass, northern pike, walleye, and catfish. You can purchase fishing supplies at the onsite bait shop.

Fremont, Wisconsin: Quaint Town on the Banks of the Wolf River

Situated 60 miles southwest of Green Bay, Fremont neighbors the 990-acre Partridge Lake and freshwater Wolf River, hotbeds of outdoor recreation in the warmer months. Go fishing for walleye and white bass, or hop in an inner tube and let the Little Wolf River guide you downstream. The river also offers 30 miles of tranquil waters for canoeing, kayaking, and watersports. One of the most popular swimming holes is nearby Lake Poygan, where there’s a sandy-bottomed section of the lake surrounded by weed beds.

Don't go at the end of the season, nothing is open. Also the heated cabins, heat doesn't really work. The park was clean at least.

The "new ownership" was dishonest. I purchased a Groupon for a comfort cabin, as I had the previous year, but upon making the reservation, I was told that there weren't any available. I would have to stay in a basic (non-comfort cabin). Ok. Upon arrival, I asked about the potential of one being available, as sometimes there are cancellations. I was told that she would have to check with her manager to see if I could be upgraded. I responded saying that I specifically thought I had purchased a Groupon for one, so it shouldnt be an upgrade. She came back and said that they couldnt accommodate me. Ok. Upon going to our cabin, I noticed that the one we stayed in the previous year (a comfort cabin) was unused the entirety of our stay. SO...it appears that while they are advertising "comfort cabins" in the Groupon, they are dishonestly saying that they don't have any available, and putting people in the lesser cabins. My daughter and I were left very disappointed with this experience.

Over all, it was really smokey, as i'm thinking all campgrounds are that way, and they pack the sight with tents, campers, and cabins,(which i liked the cabin). Was told we would have no problem getting a pontoon to rent, (we tried to pre- reserve one) for Sat. only to be told and we couldn't get one when we arrived. This was very upsetting to us, we didn't want to run into problems, that is why we tried to get all set before we got there, only to be dissapointed.( we had to go 20 miles away to rent one ugg!) We nearley left, didn't want to have to try to get our money back, so we stayed and tried to make the best of it. Won't return to Jellystone Park though..

This seemed like a total trailer park. Pool was way overcrowded. Missed the outdoors "camping" feel.
